Gloria Darko was the perfect wedding coordinator! I found her through instagram and after my fiancé and I skyped with her, we knew she was the one for us. She was friendly, organized, communicative, and so helpful. She was particularly helpful as we planned our UK wedding mostly from the US, so having her there to call vendors was invaluable. Our reception venue contact was awful to deal with and it was a relief to pass that stress on to Gloria. She made sure we got the information we needed from them and that they provided the reception we dreamed of! She kept the day running smoothly and several people (including importantly, the mother of the bride!) remarked that Gloria was both a joy to have and excellent at her job. We are ABSOLUTELY glad we hired her.

Gloria did a great job in helping us plan our big day. We were both so busy with work so to have someone take the stress out of planning and researching was a great help.Gloria was awesome, from researching ideas, coming up with a detailed budget tracker and planning the day's timeline to the minute! Plus on the day, she was there to make sure everything was running to time - from making me get to the registry office on time to getting my bridesmaids out of the hotel! My husband and I had booked our wedding and reception venues, but that was about it! Neither of us had a clue as to where to start to actually plan our wedding day. We interviewed a few wedding planners and really liked Gloria of My Wedding Fixer. She was open, friendly, collaborative and we felt she could help us plan a day that was unique to us within budget. Gloria helped us design our wedding day by bringing it to life around our theme and colour scheme. She not only sourced our photographer and DJ, but she worked tirelessly to find us a cake designer who could do a dairy and soy free cake after we were let down by another one. Gloria really did take the stress out of the planning and the actual day and I was so appreciative of her help in getting me ready for the ceremony and riding over with me. We realised early on in our wedding planning journey that we needed help from a professional wedding planner. My wife and I have busy professional lives, and no experience organising parties. With her background as a trained accountant, Gloria felt like the perfect choice; someone with an eye for detail, who would help us keep the budget in check! We were extremely satisfied, at all times. Looking back, our favourite thing about Gloria was her focus on all the details. All her careful forward planning meant that the day ran so smoothly, and we were truly able to just enjoy ourselves. We chose a package where Gloria attended during the wedding itself, notwithstanding that the venue employed a member of staff with the role of organising the day. This was the right decision - Gloria was kept busy all day, ensuring all our service providers kept to the right times, and that our guests were being given the best service. Gloria also stuck with us, after our wedding was postponed twice, because of the pandemic, kindly agreeing that we did not need to pay a further deposit. 5 stars!!

My husband and I booked Gloria to be our on-the-day coordinator, as we anticipated needing someone to oversee the set up for our church and reception venue. This turned out to be one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning!Gloria was absolutely brilliant, professional, and such a joy to work with right from the start, where she made sure she had a clear picture of what we envisioned our wedding to be like, constantly communicating via email and calls to ensure things were on track and recommending fantastic external vendors, and drawing up a clear and comprehensive timeline for us. On the day itself, she was such a life-saver at so many points during the day and was constantly working behind the scenes to ensure that everything ran smoothly despite several unexpected hiccups along the way. All throughout she still managed to check on us to make sure we were well-fed and hydrated and enjoying ourselves! Gloria at My Wedding Fixer was a delight to work with during our wedding at Lambeth Town Hall (dry hire venue) in April. We brought My Wedding Fixer on to provide on-the-day coordination services for our multicultural wedding of 140 day guests, with a total 160 evening guests. Gloria had the unenviable job of working with all of the wedding suppliers & multiple parties (of which there were many), fitting everything into a schedule and making sure everything went to plan on the day, essentially running 3-4 events over the course of the day. Gloria provided timelines and templates that helpfully demonstrated how our wedding would go, and enabled us to share information in a clear way. Gloria gave us helpful advice & tips throughout the process, including what she has observed at other weddings that seemed to work well. Gloria is professional, organised, and we are really glad we paid for on-the-day coordination. On the day itself, Gloria and Adele checked in with us regularly to ensure we were happy. We particularly appreciated how Gloria proactively organised plates of canapés for us to eat, to make sure we had a chance to enjoy the food in the rush of the day. When things were delayed slightly, Gloria would let us know and move things behind the scenes to get things back on track. She clearly went above and beyond on the day, solving issues seamlessly in the background. We would recommend My Wedding Fixer to others who want a helping hand to ensure their weddings run smoothly!

Working with Gloria as our on the day coordinator for our Wedding in September was a dream come true. We had already booked and organised most of the crucial parts, so we didn't necessarily need help with the planning, so we were looking for someone to over see the day so we didn't have to! We found Gloria on the app Bridebook and was drawn to her, as her packages ranged from full wedding planning, on the day coordination , a combo of full planning and on the day coordination and a bespoke service to suit your needs.We knew after our first consultation that we wanted to book with her. She was knowledgeable, experienced and organised, which is everything you need in a Wedding planner.Even though Gloria was only doing our on the day coordination, she would regularly check in with us and made sure we were on the right track and had covered all basis in terms of what we needed. She even made recommendations and suggestions if we were unsure of something. I liked the fact that she felt like an extra support to bounce ideas off, especially when my husband wasn't proving as useful lol. As the day drew closer, Gloria's communication became more frequent, and she did a lot of the chasing after the vendors when final details needed to be confirmed.I honestly couldn't have got through the Wedding day without her. I don't remember having to talk to any of the vendors on the day about how we wanted things done or what they should or shouldn't be doing. It was amazing as she took complete ownership from the beginning of the day right until the last guest was out. It really allowed us to enjoy the day without any additional stress.All in all, I am so grateful that we found Gloria. Her prices are reasonable and value for money, especially with all that she does and her commitment to ensuring your day goes off without a hitch.
