True Tone Music

Can’t thank Tom at True Tone enough for the help with my recent purchase! I’m a newbie to guitar playing and found the service I received knowledgeable and professional. Thoroughly recommend this little music shop in Cheltenham!

Only been in twice so far but now I will be using Tom’s services for guitar set ups etc. very soon. He ordered an item in for me and let me know when it arrived. Excellent service, great shop and such a cool nice guy! Always friendly and helpful ☺️

On the way to a gig and realised I hadn’t brought any cables - phones up and they hung around after hours till I got there to sort me out!

Part exchanged my Fender with Tom for an upgrade, gave me a great price with fantastic service and friendly manner. Great shop, well worth a visit - couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thanks Tom I’ll be back soon.

Lovely inviting atmosphere with a small-medium selection of specially selected gear. The owner is passionate and knowledgeable on all his stock, perfect place to come to buy strings or support your high street music shop.

Would like to recommend a new local business but I cannot. My acoustic guitar (faith - not a cheap guitar!) went in for a new pickup. Took longer than it should have to come back. When it did it was filthy, couldn’t really tell in the dingy shop on receipt. Apparent when i opened case up at home! Also signs of old pickup jimmied out and new pickup not secured in any way to the bridge. Internal wires are just flapping about, thats what the clips in the pic are for btw! Sorry but if you value you instruments which i do, don’t take them there.

Sent in my Jazzmaster for a some TLC, it had been sitting dormant for well over a year. Tom had it sorted and playing beautifully in no time. Would not hesitate in recommending True Tone!

I have been to True tone music twice now. And both times I have left feeling more than satisfied with my purchase. Today I brought a Fender Jazzmaster from True tone, and to say I am delighted with it is an understatement. Although, the business is relatively new. Tom has brilliant knowledge of all the guitars and accessories he sells, and his customer service is like no other. Lots of guitar shops leave you to your own device, and let you try the guitars. But along with that, Tom is so friendly and engaging, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. True tone is by far my favourite guitar shop in Cheltenham. So if you need any accessories, guitars, or repairs to your guitars. Tom is your guy.True tone, i'll be back :)

My husband took his very neglected '94 Les Paul standard in to see Tom. He was very apprehensive as his shop hasn't been there for long and is obviously a complete stranger. But he needn't have worried. Tom had it less than a day and had done a full set up, fret polish and service to an incredible level. It looks like new and plays incredibly well. The cost was extremely reasonable compared to many others. Tom was very knowledgeable and so friendly. I would definitely recommend going to see him for anything guitar related. My husband will be going to him again with his other guitar.
