Went to the Hotel today for afternoon tea with my daughter. Voucher bought for me by my grandson after I recently completed medical treatment.Lovely country house hotel in beautiful surroundings. Tea room situated looking across the lawn, beautiful autumn colours to enjoy .Tea was delicious , all the usual tasty afternoon tea treats and fresh tea and coffee , replenished as required. Greeted and shown to our seats by Harry and tea served by our delightful waitress ,Eliza , who was so polite and friendly , and spoke so kindly .A very enjoyable afternoon in lovely surroundings with delicious food and pleasant, attentive staff. Thank you , we hope to come again !

First off the staff were so polite and attentive. Can’t fault the staff. However, we visited for a Virgin Experience Spa Day and sadly it wasn’t worth the money and wasn’t the spa day I was expecting especially at this time it was needed. My cousin traveled down to enjoy the day with me and we were so excited but it was very different to the day we were looking for.The spa facilities our very outdated and unhygienic. It needs a big renovation. The jacuzzi was not clean and cockroaches in the pool. There is a tiny sauna but it is not what would be considered as a ‘spa experience’. It’s such a shame. Our therapist was sick so we didn’t get to have our massages and I have been told I would get a refund for this. However, the whole experience was not worth what I paid. We went to the afternoon tea which was ok, they catered to our dietary requirements at least but still could be improved. We then got offered massages as the therapist suddenly had come in for the day but by this point we had eaten, felt let down by the ‘spa’ and I decided that I I would prefer the refund as wasn’t sure the massages would benefit us after having seen the spa and the bad facilities. Such a shame but the staff were lovely at least.

This is a great hotel set on stunning grounds. The buffet-style breakfast is one of the best that I have experienced at this type of hotel. Well cooked meats with a great choice of pastries and fruit. The pool and spa facilities were always clean, quite and well equipped. Ian, the manager of the hotel provided 5* service throughout our stay.We had two minor issues on arrival, the details not necessary but happy to provide upon request. Were dealt with in a friendly manor within 25 minutes of arrival and as a courtesy complimentary drinks were provided. This is great service.Thank you Ian and the wider team for a great stay, you made the days competing at our world championships very calm and enjoyable.

Well located for Slough Trading Estate and not too far from the M4. Stayed here for work, and liked the fact you feel like you’re in the country. Nice enough hotel, well appointed rooms, if on the slightly small side, and friendly/efficient staff. Room was quite stuffy (hot weather), but as I was over a court yard had to compromise on comfort vs other guests enjoying the outside area I overlooked. Wary of the car park, despite temporary flood lights (of which not all were on) if you arrive late (like I did) you feel like you have to walk quite far, on uneven ground in the dark. Wasn’t convinced my car would be ok (which it was) not helped by the warning signs. If you want to escape for a run there’s a nice trail around the sports pitches 500m away but depending on how far you want to run you may have to do a few laps - else it’s pavements and traffic!

I stayed for one night and enjoyed the spacious junior suite! Rooms are clean and well equipped. All staff are extremely welcoming including Ian! He went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable! The onsite spa rooms are also lush and I had the most dreamy facial by the gifted Erica! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Some serious investment needed to bring this hotel up to standard. The lobby floor is badly laid. The room doors need better closer to avoid slamming. The lock plate of our room was missing. As to the leisure facilities... our local leisure centre kids pool is bigger in all dimensions and better designed. Insufficient working lockers in the changing room. Much of the wood work was blown due to poor maintenance. And the floor looked like it was in need of a deep clean.Food was okay but no better.Service was very attentive.

Just returned from a spa day & afternoon tea here. The place has pros and cons so would suggest set expectations accordingly. Pros: Quaint hotel, exceptionally friendly staff, lovely tea room and afternoon tea, back and scalp massage from Hanna was excellent, Monday at the spa was quiet so I could relax. Cons: very poor changing area, no working lockers, nowhere to change privately, doesn't feel like a particularly special spa as the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna are a bit run down. All-in-all though, I quite enjoyed my day here relaxing for a few hours, the pros made up for the cons for me (though I can see why others may be disappointed).

We went for a spa day with sparkling afternoon tea and a massage. It was absolutely LOVELY. The spa was very small- pool, jacuzzi, small gym and sauna BUT the jacuzzi was gorgeously warm, the staff were AMAZING!!!! (Especially Ian and Harry) and the massage was the absolute best ever - Caroline is truly spectacular, honestly, I can't recommend her more- would go back simply for the massage! But the tea was beautiful and I was really impressed.

This is a fabulous hotel. The room was a little small for a room that was advertised as having a double bed and a fold out couch. There was not really any room left to open luggage. But the service was fabulous and the spa and massage treatments were wonderful. We also really enjoyed the pool and sauna facilities. The hotel is about a 5 min drive/30 min walk from the nearest train station and there is no public transport available.
