Beach was lovely and clean and doggie friendly:) Our dog loved it :) The amusement area near the beach was a bit run down, struggled to find a toilet, The pub near it had a huge sign outside saying customers only can use there toilet which didn’t help at all. So the only only toilet facilities were by the kids amusement area. These were by far the worst toilets I have ever seen. Shocking in fact. So if going to that beach make sure you go before or you might have a shock like I did.

Very nice clean little beach, ideal for kids and old alike.Nice spot, but on a sunny day it can gets real busy.Infact, there's more people visit than there is parking spaces to accommodate the vehicles - so even the locals that live there give up driveways so you can park your cars (at a cost of course ). Well why not jump on the band wagon and make a quick buck lol...On a not so sunny day, the you can park right next to the beach for free, this is rare though....Within a small distance of this beach, you have a caravan park, a chip shop, a pub, an indoor market that sells anything and everything, public toilets, plus amusement arcade and ice cream parlour, so all at hand ready to take your money.

Beautiful beach, sand dunes and marshland. Lovely for a walk or dip if you are hardy on a breezy autumn day.

Lovely beach, dog, friendly, lots of nice sand. The Lighthouse is something unique and different to see you can go right up to the front door. Not overly busy and lots of amenities and pubs etc nearby.

Very clean and pleasant place. The car park is paid and on the way is wooden pedestrian pathways toward the beach. On the beach you can see War World II historic trail and lighthouse. This place is rich in wildlife and plants like sea holly and sea grass. I highly recommend coming here.

Lovely sandy beach. Don't recommend for swimming though as waves are usually quite strong and the ocean is full of sand. You'll have to wait until late afternoon to head to the lighthouse. The sea won't retreat to early. There was lots of sand dunes nearby too which were really fun to walk up as well as free parking although parking fees differs depending on which parking area you go to. During holidays it is quite busy but I wouldn't say too busy though as it is a quiet beach. Perfect to walk your dog and go for a walk yourself. Lots of seashells along the shore if you like to collect.

My first time visiting this beach and I loved it. You have areas to walk if that's your thing due to the area being part of the coast paths, plus lots of lovely scenery and photo opportunities. With ice cream stops nearby this is an ideal day out for a family. The beach is large and I feel like lots of people will enjoy themselves here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

It was such a peaceful beach to visit. Views were blissful. The weather was perfect. Untouched sand with beautiful shells and old coral. I will definitely visit again to explore more of this wonderful area.

We visited for the day from the midlands. Approx 2hr 10min from M5 J3. Free parking is provided right by the beach. We arrived at 9am on a bank holiday and the car park was empty. Heading back to the car at 12 there wasn’t a free parking space and the masses were arriving in droves so I’d arrive early especially in the holidays. The beach is massive and is soft sand/mud with some pebbles with the dunes as a back drop. Most people congregate and sit close to the lighthouse. If you head to the left or right the beach really opens up and there’s loads of flat, smooth people less space which is great for walking the dogs. Yes, this is a dog friendly beach all year round! Watch out for for the tides though. You could easily get cut off. Some idiots were swimming even though the red flag was clearly flying at the entrance to the beach. There is soft mud and strong tides so swimming isn’t advised. That’s their look out though I guess. There was no lifeguard on duty either. Amenities, None really although if you walk out of the car park away from the beach you can buy ice cream etc. No toilets that I saw although it is stated that there are some on station road. The dunes were ok, I did collect my fair share of McDonald’s rubbish and plastic bottles from within them as we walked back to the car but that’s most places you go these days, still sad to see all the same hence why I picked it all up. Overall a really good half day here. We’ll definitely be back again.
