Tesco Express

Nice, clean, well lit shop. Staff were nice and friendly. Very well stocked, good reductions. Bad, bad crisp selection, barely anything really. Meal deal was nice.

This shop is located in a very convenient place, close to several student accommodation facilities. Despite its small size, all of the essential grocery shopping can be easily done there. The staff is polite and always helpful if you have any queries.

Loud deliveries every morning, banging and constant idle truck engines from 7AM. Don't care if you don't live here, but you'd at least think they'd have stock constantly in - what's in the back of the truck? Seeing as they run out of their overpriced veg and fruit constantly I would guess it's cigarrettes and alcohol only.Also, when they do have produce in, it's so close to it's sell by date I wonder why I'm paying 20-30% more for something that will go off the next day.

I don't appreciate being made fun of by the members of staff. I was not wearing my glasses and therefore my vision is extremely poor. I was in the queue for the shelf check out. If I wanted to go and be served my a person I would have stood in that queue. I was not aware I was being spoken to for going to a till with a person. As I was not in that queue and I could not see, I was not aware of this situation. A member of staff who was at the self check out announced to the whole store that I was ignoring the lady and 'you must not be friendly enough. Disgusting behaviour. I couldn't see and didn't realise that being stood in the self check out queue meant I would be embarrassed and made fun off. Sorry my vision is poor. Thanks for ruining my day

It has been always convenient for me and my husband to do our small groceries at this Tesco Express as it is near our home, less pricey and the quality of the food is acceptable, but after tonight’s experience I don’t think I will ever go there. Apart of the fact that many of the male staffing are being continuously rude, disrespectful and discriminatory (Pete, Tony) tonight I had the “great chance” to meet Leon, who did not appear to have any interest in doing his job properly, not to say about the attitude and the tone of his voice. He threw my groceries on the till, for the 1st time it happen to ask for a bag and been told to get one myself (despite of my items being scanned by him) ,being charged twice for an item and acting like he is doing me a favor by putting my items inside of the bag. I feel bad to see how frustrated and mean people can become only by doing something that do not enjoy. Maybe a change should be made though...

It’s a small tesco, only small range of vegetarian options, staff are generally friendly, meal deals should not have gone up in price, neither should the price of getting multiple microwave meals. Lots of students go here, it’s the local EVRI place so good and convenient for getting and dropping off parcels although you can’t get Evri labels printed here. Close to private uni accommodation places so very convenient.

Really small shop.Hard to get around especially when it’s busy. Staff are not very considerate of customers as they go around with the metal cages and don’t care about customer trying to get around. One of them bashed into my friend with the cage and didn’t even apologise. They just gave him a weird look and rolled away.Moreover, some are pretty rude sometimes. Most of the time they stand in the middle of the shop and have a chat. I don’t mind them having a chat but not in the middle of the store when people are trying to shop. Its already so narrow that people can’t get through, there is no need for the staff taking more space just to have a chat.Everything is so overpriced, double or even triple the price of the same items from other Tescos. It’s in a convenient location as there is loads of student accommodation around. But only good when you only need little bits for emergencies. Would really recommend going to a bigger Tesco which is just a 10min walk or even the west street one as those are better value for money.UPDATE: The other day I went to the shop again as it is the closes to me for small bits. They had a delivery and one person walked in front of the delivery and one of the staff (male, a bit older) called the person an idiot. This is extremely unprofessional and quite frankly disgusting.

Busy little place but the staff are always friendly, helpful and fun.Special thanks to Big Tony and Penny for always helping me out and stopping for a chat when I go in.Doing good things for the community too, with food donations and charity runs.Only Express that stocks my favourite drink also!

Incredibly rude older man with black hair on the tills. There are a lot of people from different countries living in this area, so staff should be expected to be patient and understanding in situations where communication isn't clear. Witnessed this man be incredibly rude to two separate customers because they were paying with cash and wasn't sure how much was correct. Perhaps put up signs at the tills of English coins and notes for reference in the future, as well as staff training in common sense and courtesy.

I went last sunday to this store and The girl working the night shift on Sunday keeps on rolling her eyes like she's doing charity by serving the customers, overall bad staff is all I'll say
