Booked a stay at the Heyford hotel at short notice. We were very impressed with the friendly and super welcoming service. The room was very pleasant, and bathroom very tastefully designed. They also catered for our request to lengthen our stay. Michael was also very helpful and gave excellent suggestions on local places to visit during our stay. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

The Heyford
The Heyford overall was a positive experience but there are also several areas where I think things could be improved. The price we paid was £220(with 15% discount for advance payment) for a balcony room for 1 night - which I imagine is peak pricing and if we were to stay again I'd not be so willing to pay this amount. Pros: The service is very good with a friendly welcome & booking experience and all queries and questions answered promptly at reception and restaurant bookings etc handled perfectly even though we swapped times etc. Also extra milk and coffee was provided free of charge. The room itself was beautiful and was larger than the photos with a fantastic bathroom, comfy bed and coffee machine, fridge, dressing gowns and plenty of towels and good toiletries with a selection of extras available at reception. There was a very well stocked minibar but as with all hotels it was pricey and we left it alone. The view from the balcony was of a roof but the balcony itself was large and a nice place to sit in the open air. The room was very clean and the water pressure spot on with amazing shower. Areas of improvement: Atmosphere in the Baton was good and the service great but the menu was pretty basic and the deserts unappealing. The food we ordered was nice and a good price just wish there was more choice. The cocktails were unfortunately not great. Breakfast: I think I paid extra for breakfast & bowling (which we did not feel like and cancelled) however I could not tell as the bill was unfortunately not itemised. We had to leave early which meant we missed breakfast at 8am. Unfortunate as the menu looked great. We asked for for something the night before which was unfortunately not passed on and we were handed bags of cold muffins, fruit and juice cartons. They were apologetic and thankfully made us some good coffee but I can't help feeling a bit disappointed. We've had early morning breakfast options from other hotels that were a lot better. The parking: spaces are narrow and it's a small carpark which seemed to fill very quickly. Overall we had a good night's sleep, relaxing stay and some decent food, so would come back, just on a night with a better rate.

Last minute trip to Oxford and what a wonderful hotel. We called to make a dinner reservation and book the bowling alley (onsite and highly recommended) Michael took our call and processed everything. What a wonderful gentleman. We gave a rough arrival time as we had a few hours to tea el and credit were credits due he remembered and greeted us by name! He is an asset to the hotel. Facilities and rooms are great, would highly recommend and will be back! The restaurant was great and we finished the night with a few games in the hotels bowling alley!

Michael was both extremely professional and friendly. The rooms and food were fantastic. We had booked a balcony room - only downside is that it backed on to a building so there was no view (not a problem for us). Only negative and why it is getting 4* is that we arrived at 1500 (check in), but our room was not ready until 1530 - sounds trivial but when paying these prices, we did not expect to lose 30mins of our day, sat waiting with our bags in reception.

Stayed for the second time recently and absolutely delighted with the stay. Incredibly convenient location for Blenheim Palace and Bicester, well kept, stylish rooms and great service. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area and thanks to the staff for a lovely visit.

We booked a bowling evening for our niece and nephew and my mother in law. Bowling room is good. 2 lanes and very nicely laid out.We decided to have food in the bar. Big mistake. Our order of 5 main dishes consisted of 2 lots of chicken and waffles, 2 chicken burgers and a portion of loaded fries. Not exactly what you'd call gourmet prep and the bar wasn't even half full when ordering. We were also told the milkshakes and smoothies that are on the menu had to be ordered and collected by ourselves from the nextdoor restaurant even though they were on menus distributed throughout the bar. After almost 1 hour and having to chase the bartender the burgers came up as basic as can be.....literally a breaded chicken breast chucked in a bun with no mayo, no salad or even dressed at all.The waffles mains came up almost 15 minutes later giving thought that these had been forgotten. When these came up they were so dry it was almost painful to eat. Hardly any maple syrup as this was pre poured and not served separately for the individual to pour over. Also the waffles should've been savoury but we're dessert waffles making it a very dry and overly sickly sweet meal. Also the starter dish of chicken bites didn't come with the advertised garlic sauce.Overall this is a very poor showing given the cost of the mains is in line with a number of quality pubs and restaurants in the local area. I will be emailing management with regards to this as I feel the cost far outweighs the quality delivered.

Wonderful staff, very attentive, happy and friendly. Overall, very impressed with the operation and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was nice and breakfast was good. The hotel is adjoined to a bar, a bowling alley, and a restaurant. It’s across the street from a Sainsburys, in a pleasant new development with ample parking. Recommened if shopping at Bicester or visiting Oxford and you are travelling by car.

We had a game of bowling which was great as we had the room to ourselves. The food was lovely. Megan was a brilliant waitress and nothing was too much trouble. Really clean and tidy. Very kid friendly

I’m a UK delivery driver and I broke down about a mile from here. When I arrived the staff were so friendly and understanding. The breakfast was delicious and I was offered a hot drink when I left. A big thank you to the girls in the restaurant. Lauren was amazing and is a credit to the team. The same for the blonde lady that served me (sorry I didn’t catch her name). The prices were reasonable too. Also, I’m the biggest Dog lover and it was pleasant to see they are Dog friendly. I highly recommendBrad (stranded UK Delivery Driver)Based in Liverpool
