Great to call in for a bottle of wine and some extras for dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free parking and a petrol station attached.

Produce ranging from households, pets can be purchased from this store. Card and cash payments are also allowed depending on individual circumstances and they also provide top of the notch staff/customer satisfaction. There is always space in the car park as it is so big.

Great place and good parking too and good deals. Had a very rude checkout lady today though. She had purple hair and was miserable and I asked her 3 times to scan my clubcard but ignored me everytime. When I paid she said too late and tutted. Very rude and needs to learn some manners.

The scan and shop system at Tesco, as opposed to every other chain with this system, always picks on us. They go through every item!What a massive disincentive to use their system and in fact not go to Tesco as I’ve never been checked at Sainsburys or any other store really.I said are you going to go through the whole lot?“Yes I am, the woman cheerfully exclaimed.“It’s normally only us, my wife says.“No it isn’t, the checker says.It appears that way I say and guess what?Yet again we had not stolen or forget ANY products.There were crowds around staring at us. What fun for everybody but us!There staff appear to be never really happy – except the staff checkers if you get what I mean.It happens lots of the time. We are going to forget Tesco for as long as we can remember!Seven months ago I claimed there was a lack of support for UK products and one example is home grown Hampshire, for instance, watercress. This they appear to have addressed and we bought two packets but they STILL had to each one to see if it was paid for.

Visited Tesco Store in Newtown for something to eat before returning home after football.Visited cafeteria, staff were polite and very helpful. My friend and I were treated to hot delicious meals. Compliments to all staff. Cafeteria was clean tables immediacy cleared after use.

I've just visited Tesco Newtown Powys today 3/3/23 @ 10.45 and needed assistance from customer service. Asked the girl for the item I was looking for and her immediate reply was no I don't think we have that item, she never even checked her system or called someone covering that department. I approached another member of staff who was just finishing her shift, not her department and she found the item immediately. I thought customer service was supposed to be helpful.

this Tesco far better than welshpool was very busy even though a Aldi Lidl near by but must say much bigger choice had a lovely breakfast in cafe nice seating and service better than Morrisons cafe you get sauces.
