Good Morrisons supermarket in Barnard Castle. Just popped in for some basics and got a hot coffee and little pizza to eat on the go. Looks like you have to pay in their carpark, wasn't well signed for a visitor to the town and only noticed on my way back to the car.

Called in for a couple of deli items (which this shop does.not sell). However, do not use ATM here - ripped off by machine as if do.not take your money quickly enough, it takes your money back in!!!. Seemingly it has happened before, had to ring operator to complain. Made whole shop experience bad.

The in-store butcher's stall and fishmongers are the chief reasons why I visit Morrisons in preference to other supermarkets. They offer good quality products.

Typical Morrisons - clean, friendly staff, well stocked, easy parking but lacking some branded products easily available in other supermarkets. We were on a self catering, cottage hire holiday and hoped for Charlie Bighams products and a few others. But otherwise we’re true to their own brand.

Popped in for a few bits on my way through and saw a manager (Steve? I think his name tag said) speaking horribly to one of the staff on the deli. Think it’s disgusting behaviour and he should be out of the job. Nobody wants to see that when trying to shop with kids. No wonder the staff look so depressed dealing with someone like that.

Love visiting here, the marketplace pies are delicious; apple and rhubarb is a favourite. Plenty to keep you occupied, lots on offer. I enjoy the local food on offer, cheese, pies, meats, yum! Staff are incredibly friendly. Lovely little town.

Thank you so much for refunding me for the Poinsettias that died. I was amazed and grateful when you also gave me some replacements, the lady who dealt with it was friendly, helpful and pleasant. A big thank you from St Bartholomew Church, Thornley for brightening our little Church for Christmas.

Good supermarket which now has competition on prices with a new edge-of-town Lidl. We find it a little more expensive than larger Morrisons in towns with other large supermarkets. But a good selection of produce and some nice meal deals. We like their salad bar and the meal deal that comes with the medium-sized salad.
