The Cake Shop
Really cute shop. Love the display in the window and everything being labelled. Slightly curious set-up inside that is perhaps due to the pandemic but there would certainly be the option to have a sit-in option in future. All the treats were well presented and tasted delicious. One of our visitors was amazed at the GF brownie cookie, which certainly became an addition in our short term there. Highly recommend!

Have been here many times now, the smell when you walk through the door is to die for, and the cakes are amazing! Very fresh and absolutely delicious. Hard to pick a favourite but the white chocolate crispy millionaire has been bought more than once as well as the caramel fudge rocky road and honeynut shortbread. If you like cookies then the cookie sandwiches are a must-have, they are absolutely huge! A visit to The Cake Shop is highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

**amazing** cakes, made with great care from this little place just off the river. Chocolate tiffin (fridge cake), rocky road, treacle tart all fabulous. Go there!

Genuinely blown away.I stumbled in on my way to a meeting, drawn in by the window display, and I’m utterly thrilled I did.I went for 5 random things that looked like family pleasers including: chocolate cookie, caramel cornflake brownie (my fave), hazelnut and choc chip blondie, pretzel and pecan tiffin (my other fave) and some borderline should-be-illegal marsbarmillionairesslice kind of thing.We chopped everything up and shared it around and just kept on boasting that we’d just tried the best thing in the world, until we tried the next thing.I think the cookie was the winner because it made everyone confused and happy with how it was like chewy delicious chocolate air… a miracle of science.I’m a bit gushy because I’m still on a fairly intense sugar high, but genuinely we were blown away.Will be back. Regularly!!

The Cake Shop serves the most incredible, delectable cakes and cookies. Poppy, the owner and baker is a lovely, enterprising young woman who has perfected all of her mouthwatering recipes. Everyone should visit and get a piece (or a box full) of Black Isle Baking's delicious produce. Perfect with one of their luxurious hot chocolates.
