The White Hart Hotel
We came in whilst on holiday and sat near the gantry area, we needed to clear our own table.There was music blasting from the kitchen and staff singing at the top of their voices. Whilst sat there we saw the kitchen team member put her finger in some soup and licked her finger, she said the the waiter yeah that's still hot enough". The waiters were picking up food off the gantry and putting back on the plates with their fingers! There appears to be zero food handling guides used here. I used to work for JDW and I know the standards they aim to work towards! This however wasn't followed. Such ashame for a lovely building for the staff to be letting it down with basic standards."

Stayed overnight while working lovely clean spacious room friendly staff didn't eat so can't comment bit awkward parking as I was in 3.5 ton van but free car park metres away 6pm - 8am I parked in loading bay

Well it's a Spoons! I go there for a decent breakfast. The service is always quick and friendly. The only criticism I would make is that many of the tables need clearing. However, there are plenty of tables that are clear and clean so it's not a problem. I realise that the fast friendly service may well be at the expense of keeping up with the business of clearing tables. While it's not ideal, I think a sensible compromise during a tough time is being made as the service genuinely is excellent.

Mixed grill stone cold and meat so chewy was unable to chew it, everything was so cold I can’t believe how bad it was…. Spoke to Chloe she refunded our meals and was excellent, thank you chloe

The food was plain, husband had a steak, which was tougher than an old leather strap. I had a sloppy freezer to table lasagne. The whole place could do with a really good clean. Positive point was it was cheap, so I suppose you get what you pay for.

Lovely Marston's pub, I've never had a bad experience in any I've stayed in, the food is good and plentiful and Marston's beer is superb. Only four stars because even though the building is old, I think it was probably a coaching inn, it really could do with a bit of refurbishing.

Understaffed. Poor service.. order wrong - no offer to rectify...no apology. Warm (not hot!) food. I have been here many times ( usually before cinema for a drink/food - always underwhelming). Pint of beer on the turn.Easily the worst Witherspoon's I have been to....and getting worse. Pretty shameful

A pub and a hotel. There are lockers in the backyard garden for your bike, the pub is well organised for taking orders then delivery then at the right table.Loved the breakfast (eggs Benedict my choice). In the evening the cakes have large portions and the beers are really many among them to choose.Next to the hotel there is a city museum...

Most of the staff are rude and miserable(surely it doesn't hurt to smile and be polite), you could brew your own pint by the time you get served, the food is never served hot. If you want to find any of the staff, they will be outside smoking and having a gossip. Management need sorting so the place is ran properly.
