Finlake Riding Centre
Booked up for a holiday activity and had a really great experience. My 6 yr old did a 1/2 hr led hack, and I and my 10 yr old daughter went for the 1hr hack. We have no prior experience riding but had a great experience with the team who were really patient and helpful. Highly recommended.

Pony Pursuits
I can’t rate this place highly enough would get more stars if possible. We attended on Saturday for my daughters 6th birthday for her and 7 other children and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff and owner were so friendly and helpful And just genuinely really nice down to earth people. We booked three ponies for the hour and we had a Two hour slot for the day to do an hours riding then onto the activities in the wooded areas which had a play area with swings, slide a fire pit for toasted marshmallows and Horse shoe decorating etc. but the owner kindly let us stay longer which turned out to be over three hours. It was one of the best days just seeing all the children enjoying themselves in the outdoors with not a care in the world. With no church hall entertainment or technology. So if your looking for something different for a small party group this would definitely be something you would come away from feeling very happy and satisfied. And lastly the price for the day was way below what you would normally expect to pay I sat working it out prior to attending and when we was sent a calculation it was way below what we thought it would be but when queried we was told no that’s the correct price. Absolutely brilliant as it’s an experience my daughter and her friends will never forget well worth every penny. We will definitely be re-booking for future visits.

Witherslack Hall Equestrian Centre
Million thanks to the whole team at the Whiterslack hall equestrian centre and the lovely horses we rode: Milly, Jake, Waldo, Darcy, River, Flake and Thomas. We spent a wonderful, calming and sporty week in the B&B walking, trotting or cantering our way through the stunning estate.Horses are great, riding instructors very helpful and Janet and Deana are great B&B hosts.Definitely coming back.

Stag Lodge 2
My experience at Stag Lodge has been very positive. I’ve been riding once a week in group lessons for 4-5 years and in that time I have ridden all sorts of horses and ponies and not a single one has not been looked after with 5* care. I’ve also gone threw my fair share of instructors but I have to say Tish has been the most effective as she really pushed me while I was never nervous and always felt safe and comfortable. She is friendly and funny and has a really great affective attitude to teaching. There is a huge variety of horses on the yard who all have great and unique personalities. I would recommend Stag Lodge to riders of any level.

Willerby Hill Competition Yard
I have rode at most of the riding schools in the local area and now ride exclusively at Willerby Hill. I cannot recommend Natasha , her school and her teaching staff (both Natasha and Beth are both amazing teachers ) highly enough. For me what sets a school apart, other than the teaching , is an owner who really cares for their horses. Natasha works incredibly hard to keep her horses happy, fit and safe. She has a real passion for horses and teaching and it shows in everything she does. The schools are well kept, the stables clean, the horses always well hayed , regularly turned out and well mannered and happy. Amazing job Tasha , thanks for all your hard work to give those who ride with you such a great experienceJust a side note on some comments about customer service. Natasha works incredibly long hours both caring for the horses and teaching - if she is unable to respond I guarantee she will be doing one of those things. Most people would not appreciate her taking a call mid lesson so understand when she cannot do it when you call. The horses and arenas are safe and healthy because she puts a huge amount of effort to make them so. Please be understanding, support her in what she does or we will lose great teachers like Tash who are really passionate about their jobs and the horses in her care
