Food/Carvery. As far as carveries go, this is very good for at excellent value. A good choice of veg, that has always been cooked well, and the usual 3-4 meats to choose from. I always have Turkey or half half with beef, my Gf always goes with beef. There's also pork, which we've never tried. We've been maybe 5 times in as many years, and have never been disappointed, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area, and wants a Sunday lunch type dinner, on any day of the week from 12 onwards. The only slight reservation, aside from it being very busy, is the lack of alcohol, which doesn't bother me, but for those wanting a pint or glass of wine alongside their dinner, will have to make do with something else. The garden centre is good too, a lot of quality stuff with prices that reflect that, but my review is really for the food.

Other than a very brief visit at least a couple of years ago, today was my first proper visit to this Garden Centre -it’s enormous!I think it must have the biggest coffee shop/ restaurant of any Garden Centre with at least 3 different seating areas. The staff were lovely in the cafe and I was delighted to find gluten free options including a delicious strawberry slice. We wandered around for ages -I’m sure we probably only actually saw about half of the areas as there was so much on offer in addition to the expected garden plants and items: lovely home items including candles and bedding, a Pavers shoe section, the Works, garden furniture and lots more.We visited with the specific intention of buying a cordyline for my new planter; what a selection! I got great advice from one of the very knowledgeable members of staff and am very pleased with my purchase. We spent quite a long time in the aquatic section admiring the array of tiny, colourful fish and an equal amount of time perusing the huge selection of tulip bulbs. We left with my cordyline, a lovely little antirrhinum from the reduced section and a pair of plant supports for peonies or similar shrubs at a bargain sale price of £10.I will definitely be going back.Highly recommended!

We absolutely love coming here. There's such a wide variety of sections to suit all the family. The kids love The Works and the aquatics area, and the youngest loves having his own little trolley

Visited Hornsey garden centre twice last week ,easy to fund was Hull Road just after the turn of to old ellerby. On arriving was really impressed. There was a quite a large carpark.Main entrance was wheel chair accessible, when you got through the entrance there was a gift shop to the right was a restaurant, with lovely seating ,a small bar on the restaurant, the food was good and reasonably priced, there was an handbags accessory shop.Immediately as you went through the main entrance ,you came into the yard where the plants were.I must say they had a nice selection of plants. If you like antiques well you are in luck, they have two masses log cabins ,with anything from coins, crystals, medals, diecast vehicles, binoculars and many more items.,so if you like that type of thing it's well worth a visit.

*Santas Grotto*Not a great experience.Arrived on time and before our time slot and was told we where late and would have to get on the next train as the one we should have been on had left, the lady with the short hair was extremely rude and told me to go find a lady and pointed towards the train area.Once we found her she was great and popped us in the queue for the crafts. The crafts was overcrowded, there was a small space for my daughter but neither myself or my partner could sit next to her like other parents had done with their children.Mrs claus was great and lovely with the children. The present was decent, she is 2 and got a little tikes bath toy.Santa was nice and friendly but Mrs Claus kind of ran the experience which was good.We purchased a picture at the end and didn’t realise until we got home but the book was covered in mould.Nothing really magical about the experience tbh it was rushed and overbooked. For the money it’s not bad but the mouldy book isn’t acceptable and when the lady popped the photo in the book I don’t know how she missed it.

This is an excellent garden centre for everything you need. We always look forward to seeing the Christmas display every year but on our recent visit to see the Christmas decorations we were very disappointed with the display this year. The ceilings are usually decorated with lights and other decorations but there was nothing hanging from the ceiling this year and we felt a bit deflated as it didn’t look like the winter wonderland we are used to.

Absolutely fantastic Christmas decorations, they've got everything you could imagine and more ,singing bears and reindeer. And on top of all this a gorgeous Sunday dinner. We'll worth a visit
