Very friendly and helpful staff. Even though i bought tickets online for 11am we got there early and were allowed to board.

A trip on the only passenger hovercraft service in the world is a definite must. We have done it several times with our grandchildren. The cost is very reasonable.

Fastest way to travel to the island in a unique manner! Good value for money providing an integral method of transport to the island which is incredibly convenient.Would definitely recommend the excursions that are sometimes offered by Hovertravel - especially the experience flights!

Possibility to get on a hover and there is an arcade just next to it! Loved it!

Shame one rude member of staff at Southsea started the day on a negativeGiven the ridiculous costs I expect all staff to be friendly and polite at all times. Therefore 2 stars given. Without the rude staff member would have probably been a 4 star only down due the price.

Absolutely Brilliant these Pictures and Videos were taken when i visited back in July this year 28th to 31st July 2023. I went on the Hovercraft to the Isle of Wight and back.

Flying on the hovercraft was such a great fun :-) Highly recommend!

Let me give you a warning. Be wary when purchasing a through train ticket this is as good as steerage (the lowest) class. I'm shocked that Hover travel operate this approach and surprised more have not voiced their displeasure. Hover travel will come up with excuses but let me tell you something I will think twice about using this service again. With this bona fide ticket there is no guarantee you will be permitted to travel on the service you have booked (via national rail) and are left to queue outside in the wind and rain.The staff at Southsea took great pleasure in informing me of this process if you hold a through ticket, he was distinctly smug and took delight in saying that I was not allowed in the lounge and instead had to queue outside in the wind with other suitably unhappy people with no guarantee we would be allowed on the service at the time that we were sold for on national rail. Coming back we chose to pick a service TWO hours earlier because of anxiety of not being able to get back by their ridiculously early LAST 'flight' at 8.15pm. Even then you're suffed by the door and queuing outside having to wait. It's an awful situation to be presented with, and very surprising.Very surprising, the Isle of Wight deserves a better service, Hovertavel at least should offer a 'steerage class' lounge for this cohort of travellers if you are not prepared to allow paid for tickets to sit down at least, this is 2023.Apologies, but I can't forgive Hovertavel for the anxiety they caused us which cut short our day, we wanted to eat at the Duck but chose to come home and eat in Southsea on account of Hovertavel.

Booked online in advance, really easy transaction we walked into the waiting room they took our booking reference number and that’s all that’s needed, and boarded the hovercraft no problem no rush. All the staff were very helpful and polite.

Nothing more than a bog standard waiting room with some vending machines. A local radio station plays background noise. Spending more than 20 minutes in this space would not be pleasurable. On the upside if you stand you will get an interesting view of Portsmouth harbour entrance and the staff are friendly and helpful.
