Rooms clean, nicely set out and furnished. Above the kitchen meant a fairly early start due to noise of kitchen below. V good value stay and friendly staff and lovely food available downstairs. (Even allowing us take away soup to eat in our rooms later after cafe closed.)Locality perfect for access to all of Topsham.

Held my 60th Birthday Party there and Route 2 provided an incredible friendly and personal service. They provided an amazing buffet which included lots of fresh and home cooked food. It was a perfect venue for 50 people.

Food was reasonable however, order was got wrong, had requested vegetarian nachos but got nachos with pulled pork on. Half hearted apology with the excuse that this was what was put in the till. No offer of compensation for the fact my wife and I ended up eating entirely separately whilst we waited for her replacement meal. Nice setting but pretty poor customer service.

Second visit now. First in April when the place was packed on an Easter-ish weekend and it family of four rocked up.This time a second pit stop - brunch for two. Smashed avocado with extra bacon. Is have taken a photo but it was genuinely the best smashed avo I've ever tasted so you get a picture of the empty plate instead. Sorry about that. Yum!!

Im a celiac and the team made sure every cooking surface was clean before they cooked my breakfast! Wowsers!! Absolutely BRILLIANT! They unfortunately didnt have any gluten free sausages so they gave me extra bacon! Oh yummy yummy! Thanks Route 2!

Ordered two coffees and two sausage sandwiches from the takeaway counter, which took over 40 minutes to arrive. Not surprising after the chefs said 20mins into the wait that they wanted to serve all tables inside first before doing the takeaway orders. Coffees were long since consumed by the time the sandwiches were ready, no sauces offered or available. Chefs were then talking loudly about the people staring at them through the takeaway window"

We booked the Estuary apartment for the week of our wedding in nearby Exeter. The apartment was really spacious with a lovely view. Comfortable bed and good shower. Amazing location right in the heart of Topsham with views of the estuary. Highly recommend!
