King George playing fields

Lovely spot to take kids to play has a basketball net and 2 huge fields also has a little playground where there is swings slide ect. I would reccomend going here

Quiet, safe to let dogs run free for a while.

Great place to let your dog run.

While this playground could use some paint and a bench in the shade it is probably the best playground in the area. Next to massive playing fields, usually well-trimmed, and by very tall shade-providing trees (picnic blanket anyone?) It is easy to access. Has a couple of parking spots (free) but also easy to park nearby. Has a buggy/wheelchair friendly ramp for access. Playground is enclosed with 2 gates for access. Includes a spinning game, balance logs, 2 bigger and 2 baby swings, a multi-level climbing frame with rope nets, a slide, monkey bars, fireman pole, rock climbing slide with ropes. There are a couple of workout/fitness" structures and a basketball net with dribbling space (not a full court). A bin for litter. Usually not very busy. Will entertain accross all ages."

I visit to walk a dog, the grass had just been cut, the playing fields are well looked after

Great Park for football. For small children there are slides and swings

litter left around football pitch following Saturday's game, surely council would expect clear up as requisite for staging games

It is a nice little play area just off The Greenway path.

Couple of fields adjacent to each other which I use for walking my dog around (yes I clean up before you ask), others use it for sport and there's a connection to an early Rugby League match according to a plaque at the entrance. I often find the local teens who hang around there quite polite.
