I loved that they addressed the issue of cultural appropriation. A portion of their medical exhibit was unexplained which would have been nice to know about. It was a very eclectic set of collections. And they did mention that it will be closed in 2024 to renovate the displays.

Such an adorable yet amazing museum! It wasn’t overwhelming like most places. I really enjoyed my time there. Also, it being free is an amazing feature!

This was cool and free! But it just wasn’t my favorite museum I’ve been to! If you’re into natural history I’m sure you’ll enjoy it more than I did!!

Free entry. Wonderful place to visit. Enjoy the cloister's of Glasgow university before entering the museum on the 3rd floor. On entry view some of the spectacular display jars containing incredible specimens. Read about and touch parts of the 2000 year old Antoine wall. Then into the main 2 storey hall. Lord Kelvin, possibly Scotland's most famous scientist left all his equipment to Glasgow university where he taught. Visit the natural exhibits of dinosaurs, birds, gemstones and fossils. Brilliant place

Hunterian museum is a part of Glasgow university. I love Roman history in Scotland. I've visited all the sites on the antonine wall. The museum hold's a lot of artifacts relating to the wall, through archeological digs. Like distance slabs left by legions. Also weapons , roman shoes, for soldiers women and children. It's a first class museum.

This gem needs to move out from the Kelvingrove's shadow. The building is simply spectacular, and the collection is somehow better. There's sections of a wall built by Romans over 2000 years ago, in the same building as instruments from the Scientific Revolution, and implements from the foundations of modern medicine. It's also far less crowded & noisy than the Art Museum. Go visit!

Remarkable for its Antonine Wall (Roman wall north of the Hadrian...) finds and Midwifery/medical casts, amongst many other things. A good old-fashioned free museum without crowds near characterful University quads.

The Hunterian Museum in Glasgow offers a captivating journey into the rich history of the university and its esteemed faculty. As a student, I found the well-preserved biology exhibits, mummies, and animal skeletons to be truly fascinating. The museum provides a unique insight into the academic legacy of the institution, making it a must-visit for anyone intrigued by the intersection of history and science.
