What a find this place was!Excellent village pub with absolutely fantastic atmosphere and food. Dog friendly too. We had our Labrador with us and was welcomed by all of the staff.The main pub, facing the road, has a traditional bar & lounge layout dating back to the mid 1730's. Complete with an inglenook style fire place.Choice of ales and popular beers avail6 on tap, and served by very friendly staff too.To the left side of the pub is a large car park.To the rear of the pub which is accessible from the car park, the bar or even the small village footpath behind the garden area, which leads to and from the church.The garden area deserves a special mention as well. The outdoor area is huge, and has masses of different styles of seating and tables, most of which are in covered areas, but others are in the open garden if the weather is sunny.In addition to all the seating, there's a staffed bar and open grill with chef, serving food, which was really tasty. Try the halloumi cheese fries, and the humous they were delightful.I hope the review and photos do it justice.See you again.

Lovely local pub feel.Excellent food.All 'Sunday Dinners' rated well (Yorkshire pudding over cooked)Fish and chips rated 5*Friendly staff. Friendly locals.Dog friendly pub too.Dropped a star on service as they didn't come back with dessert menu...Overall, it's still a 5* feeling.

Couldn't fault it. Food was outstanding. Staff very friendly and funny. We have only popped in for a quick dinner. Was so enjoyable we will be back for more relaxed evening.

What a lovely place. A great outdoor area with a barbecue, bar and live music (on the Sat we were there). There's a car park, too.Eight of us were looked after by the helpful and friendly team. We all complimented the food and the feel of the pub.We would happily return and recommend a visit.The quality of the food was excellent and it was all cooked very well. It all arrived piping hot (where appropriate) and was scoffed with pleasure.

We dined here Friday evening, and have done many times in the Summer (the outside is so beautiful & such friendly lovely staff on the bar outside !) The food was amazing, my partner had the fish and chips and I went for the mussels - both were delicious! All of the Staff were super friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back :)

Wonderful Sunday roast sat by a cozy fire on a wet winters day . Perfect way to spend a Sunday. The roast beef was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming with lots of happy people enjoying themselves. Will definitely be returning soon . Would highly recommend if you enjoy a good roast dinner in a beautiful country pub .

Good atmosphere, nice menu, all options good ones. Queried the bill for some drinks we didn't have and some missing. All changed no quibbles. Would definitely go again.

Nice outdoor garden, super friendly staff and good food. If you like your meat on the rarer side, tell them when you order - but that is generally the case in the UK (mad cows?)

Cozy traditonal atmosphere. Good service. Pleasantly surprised to find duck on the menu. It was presented nicely, though I thought it could have been more tender. Glad to have found a quiet place to enjoy dinner in Mickleton.
Panic “No Saint” At The Tesco

I’m dismayed that after being offered the last table in the restaurant and ordering my food, I’m told I’ll need to move to the bar in 15 minutes as someone has booked it. In this situation the correct action is to tell the 2nd customer the table will be free in 30 minutes and offer them a seat by the bar until then. It’s restaurant management basics, if my staff had done this on my shift I’d be having stern words.
