D & K Servicing

Two cookers cleaned at our village hall. If you were to believe their website blurb, they should have been left gleaming inside and out. They weren't. There was still carbon build up in many places and the surfaces that were supposed to have been left shining looked like they'd been wiped with an oily rag. If I'd read all the other negative reviews (and all the 5* reviews look like they come from the same person) they would never been allowed in the building. Avoid this bunch of con artists at all cost.

Worked at D&K servicing for a small amount of time, was fired with no notice out of the blue because “two engineers quit and they couldn’t afford me”. From what I’ve seen on indeed this is very common practice for them, as many warned of such a scenario happening to themselves, so much so that I addressed it in my interview and was told that since management has changed they now employ a 3 month training and trail period, a lie. While the staff were all friendly enough the actual business is as slimy as their employment practices. First of all THEY WILL NEVER STOP CALLING YOU, no matter what you do, even if you explicitly ask to be taken off the contact list they will just set on their calendar to call you again in 6 months time, even in death you won’t be able to escape the vacuum you got repaired in 2013, they will keep trying your number. What happens if you actually pick up? Well, you’ll receive rehearsed speech about the benefits of vacuum/ oven conditioning and if you, for any reason you don’t want such services and hang up there is a solid chance you will be insulted and mocked by people who feel entitled to your money even having the nerve to call you a time waster! I have seen a multitude of complaints surrounding their oven cleaning service and for good reason. In my experience they don’t send out any professional cleaners but seemingly random hires who they themselves know are inadequate, stating on occasion when acquaintances have the misfortune of using their services “ oh I hope so and so isn’t going to hers they are terrible” or “ so and so better not be going to her I’ll be so embarrassed”. I can’t really comment on their competence in the vacuum repair department but from the frequency of call in complaints I can only assume it’s not good. Overall this is a company that well and truly earns its pitiful reputation.

Oven element went rang them, they came following day, ordered part, fitted new part... Professional, on time, friendly, great service.. Would recommend this company.

This company prey on old folk and are quite dishonest. My 88 year old Mother had them call on her, told her, her 12 month old cordless Dyson was broken (it wasn’t and my sister still uses it 2 years later) and sold her an unbranded cordless cleaner for more than the top of the range Dyson and signed her up for a service plan costing on average over £140 a year with spares. In two years she could have purchased 3 Dyson cleaners. I cancelled the agreement during the recent visit from the engineer (my mother called me to speak with him). He said that parts had gone missing from the vac, and had to order new ones (I absolutely do not believe him) so I asked him to service it and cancel the renewal and he said he couldn’t because they don’t carry spares, including filters etc. Complete and utter rubbish and they should be named and shamed!

I wouldn't recommend this place to service Hoover's. I enquired about my shark hoover being serviced and was promised it would be stripped down and tested and cleaned and new filters added (at a cost) but would be available, the gentleman came to my home, was very polite and respectful but literally washed the hoover bin out in my kitchen sink using hand soap (I could have done that) I was then told you can't strip a Shark hoover so it wasn't able to have a full maintenance service (which I was paying for) none of my hoover tools were checked or cleaned I had to do them myself after. The gentleman then went to get me some new filters but didn't have them all on available so ordered me the missing one to which I was told will be a 3 week wait, I waited 3.5 weeks and heard nothing so I called, a lady said she would chase it up. I then got a call to say it had just been delivered to store (convenient) and that she would post it out when though I was told when it was ordered that it would be delivered to me on the same day by an engineer. I ended up saying I would just collect it from the store to which I was told I will have to wait until the delivery has been dealt with and they will call me, will they call me who knows!? £60 down and not happy with the service at all, definitely don't recommend!

Terrible company - we had our vaccums serviced and in fairness we cannot fault the service we received for that. My wife then received a call around a week later asking her if we would like our ovens cleaned on “special offer”. When the engineer arrived, the price went up by £20. We explained we were unhappy with this as my wife had spoken to them on numerous occasions and they had always said the same price. When we told him we didn’t want to proceed if they would not do it for the agreed price the engineer began swearing at us under his breath - very disappointed, best avoided!

They fitted the wrong filter to our vacuum cleaner and it was not picking up and we are still waiting for the correct filter for SIX MONTHS and this is on a maintenance contract with them. They know which vacuum we have but they don't issue the engineer with the correct filters to do the service

Wee problem after very competitive oven clean. Dand K were responsive immediately, understanding my issue and resolved it without question. I would definitely recommend them. Honest and reliable and a real person when you ring up, no long delays in answering the phone. Thank you, no hesitation in recommending this Company.

They came to clean our oven which they did fine. Then they said they couldn't service our Dyson as it was too old. They recommended trading it in and getting a Powersonic vacuum. We felt rushed into the sale. We are disabled. The Powersonic has never worked properly. It won't even pick up the smallest of crumbs. They said it was the filter, then it was blocked, they come out and make more excuses.They refuse to refund us and they won't get in touch with the manufacturer, even though it is under guarantee.

Complete ripoff company avoid at all cost. We had a Dyson off them in September & serviced the following September, the year after they cancelled the booked in service date to October the year after that November, each year they'd rang to book the service in. They've rang and booked in again (not been serviced for a few years) tell you a time engineer will turn up, doesn't turn up so you ring after waiting an hr to be told was booked in for 1 till 3 knowing I was out at 3, they then say it's on the service agreement that we ring to book the service so our fault they've been paid for 4 years without providing the service. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!
