Picked up my two Girls Cleo and Bali after a taster session. An amazing place, never mind the dogs I wouldn't mind a stay here. I would highly recommend the care and welfare of your family dogs to this place.

Just perfect. A proper little hotel for your dog. Rooms are fab! Camera so you can check in on your dog in their room (something you don't even know you want...and then find yourself checking in to see your dog asleep every day) The staff sent over a postcard, he was given a Christmas present and came back calmer, more obedient and super cuddly. I'm not sure what they did, but it was magic. Would 100% send my dog here again without hesitation.

We hired the field for a Vizsla reunion. The field was brilliant and the picnic bench and seats were a great bonus for the humans! The staff were so accommodating, friendly and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to use their facilities again and recommend them to others.

Booked my dog in for a trial day because he tends to be nervous and suffers with separation anxiety and the whole experience was incredible from start to finish. Every staff member I spoke with was amazing and you can tell they have a genuine love for dogs and what they do. My dog Monroe was immediately comfortable with Kate and he walked off to his day care without looking back or even saying goodbye! I think I was more nervous than my dog. When we picked him up they gave us a full breakdown of how he was, explained that he was a bit nervous at the start but once he settled he was perfectly fine. The feel you get of the place as soon as you arrive is amazing and we have now booked in again with a look to have him stay in the hotel over night. Thank you so much for today

Really friendly staff. Great place. Peggy loves going for dog class and day care. I trust them implicitly with Peggy and they're so great with her. They will do everything to accommodate your dogs needs too.

The Pawfect Retreat
Unfortunately I can’t recommend The Pawfect Retreat. They employ a mix of good staff with the necessary skills, due care and attention/affection and those who do not seem to have the attributes required to maintain a reasonable standard for that of a premium service provider. They’re appalling at communicating - You will struggle to get through to them on the phone irrespective of whether your dog is in their care or not. If you get through via the phone it will likely be a 1 in 5 / 1 in 10 chance of speaking with someone when you call. Their email communication is marginally better but dependant on who is working you will get anything from near immediate email response to a couple of day waiting time and also through to zero response it’s luck of the draw.. On one occasion It must have took two weeks to have a simple communication trail with my last correspondence going entirely unanswered. A week or so after the two week communication someone else messaged me as if I’d had no previous communication so hindered my two week conversation trail a complete waste of time as my original contact never ever came back to me.They have no idea about your dog. We have two dogs and I would say at least 50% of the time the person speaking with you about your dogs will not know which dog is which. This is concerning when one needs medication and the other doesn’t for instance as is the case for me. On one occasion I was emailed to say that my dogs were in desperate need of more food because they had ran out. I was surprised because I provided 2-3 times more than they needed for their stay. I called multiple times to discuss but as there was no answer I felt compelled to drive to them (from a fair distance away). It transpired they emailed me about someone else’s dogs but quoted my dogs names creating the confusion. It’s all for show - They have a lovely reception and you are greeted with smiles but unfortunately it’s not all how it’s seems on the surface. Your dogs will be occupied very little from what I can see outside of the four brief outings they will experience each day for walk/toilet breaks. If your dog is used to affection at home (talking to them, stroking them) don’t expect them to get anything like what they would at home here. I have witnessed occurrences on camera (many) which clearly demonstrate they will service dogs basic needs (food/water) but not provide any real affection. On one occasion my dogs stayed for 3 nights and I stated I wasn’t entirely happy based on some unclear feedback I’d received from another member of staff and that I wasn’t sure the care was right for my dogs. The answer I received was that they weigh them every other day to make sure they are ok. Need I say more…. Staff will not spend time to bond with your dog. someone will enter your dogs room, squirt water in their bowl and dash out as if they are training for the olympics. On one occasion my dog was hiding under the bed and instead of coaxing him from under with treats or kind words etc etc before taking out for walk the man lied down waved his arm under the bed to basically force my dog from underneath. He was clearly uneasy. My conclusion is that they are likely under staffed and incorrectly staffed to provide a top notch service. When providing care for animals a genuine desire to care is clearly imperative to do a job like this justice and despite this sort of work being a vocation unfortunately some people are in the wrong job.. If you want somewhere for your dog to stay for 1 maybe 2 nights at a push they will be fine here. If you are thinking of a longer stay make alternative arrangements in order to give your dog the care they need.
