The site was level and well laid out and is well located by the racecourse on a bus route or 30 min walk into the city centre.The facilities were clean well maintained and functional however rather dated. It was very inconvenient that they only take cash as well as needing 50p pieces for the shower.

Fantastic place... looks rustic from the outside, however very clean. The owners really care about their visitors.. You don't come across this very often.. most are in it for the money, here, it seems they are in it for the love of what they do as well. Small, but not to be passed by... There are heaps of walks around the area, and a bus stop not far that takes you into York. The amenities look rough from the outside, but never judge a book by its cover.. they are well kept. And we just love the tourist information centre...

Good spot, about 40 mins walk into York up the side of the river at a gentle pace. On the bus route too if needed. £25 a night, block good quite basic. Easy to find. Would recommend.

what a great site .warm welcoming from owners .spotless facilities. gentle 20 minutes level walk into York.would highly recommend this site and I'm fussy

Nice site. Prefer pitches 3,4 & 5. Showers 50p for 10mins. Bus stop 100yards away. Pleasant walk into town by pavement or go the riverside way.Parkrun takes place on the racecourse

Visited the campsite this weekend with my partner in the campervan.Small site with hard stand for campervans, Motorhomes or caravans, hardstanding pitches need some TLC as do general facilties across the site.Disappointed to have to pay for showers.Site owners have very old fashioned views and ways, they 'told us off' for not using their preferred taxi home on a busy Saturday evening.Will avoid visiting this site in the future, much more accommodating sites around York.

Nice small site adults only. Facilities very clean yes 50p for a shower but gives you ample time but they are cleaned twice a day easy walk into york and on a bus route friendly owners we loved it.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Nice quaint little site that’s safe for children, got clean faculties and nearby nice walks. The farm shop is amazing with a nice cafe/restaurant too! Would defo recommend.
