Rooms, food, drink and the local atmosphere are great. Definitely worth giving a try. Great place for visiting Chester or even Oulton Park

Visited as a sentimental journey as my grandmother was born in Tarvin in 1880 in a three storey Georgian House, The Flaggs. . Pub recently very tastefully renovated.Three of us had lunch which eas lovely.Very pleasant barmaid.Good service.Good atmosphere.Only a few people in but more came in as we were leaving.Very old ace( 1776?). The whole village is delightful and historically interesting.Good centre for local walks.

Recently stayed at the George & Dragon with our little dog & had a great time . Very clean pub , fab food & great owners . Seems to be a very popular pub with local people - which is always a good sign . Hope to be back soon

Incredibly unhappy with this establishment. The food is terrible, service is poor, car parking is chargble and no disabled parking. Facilities were disgusting - I DO NOT recommend!

a very disappointing experience.Having just moved into the area, we were pleased to have a pub that we can walk to.Had our granddaughters to stay the night so thought it would be a treat to take them out for tea.arrived for a booking at 6pm, were shown to our table and given menus... that was great but it went down hill after that!had to ask to give our food order, as been waiting a while, and then had to wait until 7.10 for starters, another half hour for the mains.... there were empty tables so goodness knows how it would be if full!our girls were very hungry and fed up, but extremely patient and well behaved.we were given a complimentary drink, which was obviously appreciated but overall it was not a good experience and as a first visit has probably put us off going again....

Lovely little Inn run by the family. The new owners are absolutely amazing and building this pub up from the ground. Very welcoming atmosphere, everyone is super friendly, the food is yummy, the menu is quite big compared to the others I've been, the location is excellent, great value for money and pets are welcome. I couldn't have asked for a better stay and if I'm ever around Chester again I'll definitely stay here.To those who are unhappy with the breakfast time please consider it being a pub. 8am is already a very early start for the pub. If you need 6am breakfast perhaps you should consider staying at Holiday Inn or Travel Lodge instead of moaning.

Just had a 2 night stay at the George and Dragon. What an exceptional place. Hosts Ken and Kath were very friendly and made us feel most welcome. The rooms we had was beautiful. Exceptionally clean and spacious with a very large en suite shower room. The room had everything you could need. Breakfast was amazing again nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. The choice on offer was fantastic. I had the small English Breakfast which was cooked to perfection and enough to keep you going all day. Big thank you to Ken and Kath for your wonderful hospitality and will certainly come back again.
