Thornaby Dental Centre

I joined this dental practice over 2 years ago as a Denplan private patient. In this time as well as checkups and hygienist visits, I've had Invisalign teeth straightening and a dental bridge fitted. During this entire time the service provided has been absolutely first class, there's no other way to describe it. I am a wheelchair user, and all of the staff - my dentist, dental assistants, my hygienist, and reception staff have been so kind, understanding and accommodating. The entrance isn't accessible so it is slightly difficult for me to get into the building at the moment, but the practice is undergoing multiple refurbishment works and I've been told there will be a new accessible entrance coming, which is great news for me and anyone else with a disability or mobility/strength issues. For anyone wondering whether to go private, having been an NHS patient myself at a previous practice, I would recommend going private to anyone, I think the investment in having good teeth throughout your life is well worth it. If anyone is looking for a private practice locally, I don't think you could find a better dental practice in the wider area. 5* Thank you Thornaby Dental.

Couldn't recommend this practice more highly every time I've been the staff have been very welcoming and helpful, I've always found the level of service to be excellent.

Here at my new private dentist they saved every tooth and did all my work great and I needed lots doing.unlike my old NHS dentist who pulled my teeth instead of saving. You get what you pay for.Office, hygienist and dentist all very friendly and have got my oral health back on track I feel great. I'm glad I found it. I actually look forward to going.

Been going to this Dentist for about 18 months, couldn’t get an NHS Appointment so had to go via Denplan cover. Peter is a nice guy and an excellent Dentist. Missing a star due to Waiting Area being very warm with no windows open for air flow.

Both the dentist and hygienist were so rushed. This was January. I was in and out of both within 10minutes. The hygienist just looked at my teeth and said fine, she didn't remove black staining and the dentist prodded a few times and that was IT!I've been going to the dentist for over 40 years. Shoddy.

Would wholeheartedly recommend D. lowther as a dentist. Informative, gentle and engaging. Unusually a regular check up is now a pleasant experience

Ive been scared of dentists for years. Dominic here is fantastic at soothing nerves. Ive had a fantastic experience with a fair bit of work done. 10/10.

I don't have experience of dental surgery here, BUT if you want dentures only thoroughly recommend going elsewhere. Terrible service and product at inflated prices.

Had an appointment today with Karen Rutherford which was an absolute pleasure. She was kind and courteous and had a can do attitude. I have been going to this practice for years and this is the first time anyone has offered to manually clean. She went out of her way to satisfy the client so well done Karen!

Have been at this practice since 2017/2018. I am a private client as is my wife. The dentists are all very professional and understanding but today 06/09/2022 for around the 3rd of 4th time the reception staff have discriminated against my wife and her hidden disability and her exemption from wearing a mask. Todays case, despite having to go as far as explaining my wife is vulnerable and is unable to wear a mask after already mentioning she is exempt twice. The reception manager had to step in and tell the receptionist to stop! This happens every time my wife attends and causes severe anxiety attacks and respiratory issues. I then decided to cancel our use of the practice and any Current Denplans we have. Still the rude receptionist made no apologies! To be a paying customer and be treated like this is disgusting and discriminating against those with legitimate hidden disabilities. Such a shame the reception staff are not as well trained as the Dentist team !!!
