Big Rock Bond

One of my favourite places to go climbing, whether it would be roped or bouldering. With plenty of routes for both options and having them be reset every so often there's loads of problems to solve regularly. The staff here are really friendly and helpful and the people who come here are also just as nice. I love having a coffee and a snack here too. Staff are also very helpful if you need to buy gear.

So cool trying bouldering for the first time. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the facilities were great.

What a hidden gem! Historic Grove Gardens is a peaceful haven with stunning floral displays and charming, historic architecture. The knowledgeable staff offer informative tours, and the tea house is a delightful spot to unwind. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you appreciate history and horticulture.

Really nice climbing centre with a decently big bouldering area as well as quite a few top-rope and lead routes, and even some auto-belay.Has an upstairs gym area with a moonboard and other training equipment, a little gear shop, and some relaxed seating and tables downstairs by the cafe.I'd describe the food as not being amazing, but not awful either. It works as a lunchtime snack if you're climbing for the day, and isn't the main point of the place. That's my only extremely minor complaint, and it's definitely not bad enough to be worth losing a star.All the climbs we tried were well-set, fun routes. The staff was friendly. Recommended!

Great climbing gym with very helpful and friendly staff. The routes are changed frequently so that you're never bored and the café is brill for when you want to have a coffee break (amazing coffee btw). It's got a fun and sociable atmosphere. Great vibes.

First time at Big Rock and I was blown away at how awesome it was. The bouldering area was huge with so many problems. The top rope and lead walls ropes were quite close together but there were plenty of spare lines to not be squashed. Was there on a Sunday and was quite busy but still enough space for everyone.The campus board and upstairs area is big and refreshing to see so many things to do and train on. Cafe is nice, could have a few more tables to sit at but ample space elsewhere to sit.You can literally spend day after day here and not get bored. Really good to see a big variety of grades on both the roped and bouldering walls. Will definitely be back sooner rather than later!

Had a great time on an evening session. Lots of climbs with my partner and little brother (9). We all enjoyed ourselves massively. Massive thanks to Wendy and Mike for all their help. They were so polite and supportive.Brought climbing shoes from the on-site shop. Lots of choice and plenty of sizes.

A good centre for beginners and up. Friendly climbing centre, great bouldering area with well set routes up to V10 and top rope and lead routes to the 8's with 4 auto-belays. An upstairs gym / sessioning area with a 45 degree wall, a Moon board, free weights and a power rack with pull-up bars and rings. The downstairs cafe adjacent reception, does a good coffee and some cake and snacks. Also, in the cooler months it is warm! There is a small shop with some climbing gear and clothing and some second hand gear often for sale. A great centre, well recommended.

Great place to go and test your skills. Top ropes, auto belay, and lead climbing in abundance, plus a huge boldering section. Upstairs are some general fitness training areas also. Wall routes graded and regularly changed. Something for everyone I would say, including a small cafe area for tea and cake when you need to take a break.
