Hair of the Dog - Holistic Dog Grooming

Wonderful atmosphere. My Italian greyhound Olive absolutely adores Jess. We used to take her to a well known pet store to get her nails done and they always were sharp and uneven. Jess cuts them perfectly and then files them down with the dremel which Olive was unsure about but Jess is so kind and patient with her. Couldn’t recommend here any more!

My Siberian husky went here today. I done lots of research into groomers and I needed one that I felt comfortable with as well as my dog. All the staff was fantastic! They treated my boy like he was one of their own and nothing was too much. They hid nothing from me and my dog was happy when I picked him up!! He looks and smells amazing!! Thank you all! Very reliable dog grooming business. Appointment requests are always arranged swiftly and there is great communication from owner. My dog, Dixie (Terrier) always comes out looking a lot tidier and appears to feel better for it. The only thing that is stopping me from giving my review 5 stars is sometimes his legs haven't been done as well as they could have been. But in all truth, that's probably due to to Dixie being a real live- wire who doesn't like being still for very long. Recommended.

We took Cleo, our Bearded Collie , to Julie today and her and her Staff have done an amazing Job in bathing and grooming Cleo . It's always difficult going to a Groomers for the first time and we can honestly say that from the minute Cleo arrived she was made so at home . Cleo is naturally a very nervous dog but after only a few mins she was totally at home . Thank you so much Julie and we will be back soon

Took mums 4 month old puppy Freddie here last week, he was quite nervous 1st visit for a puppy cut. They were so lovely with him and he settled in, smelt fab and looks so much better, will definitely take him back. Luv the fact that the dogs can walk around before and after as well even if he did keep himself to himself. Loads of fuss one happy lil pup and mum. Thank you so much

I took Alfie and Finn by cockapoos to Hair of the dog having not been happy with previous groomers as Alfie cam be quite sensitive. I had explained this over the phone and was feeling positive dropping them off. I was pleasantly surprised both my dogs and myself were all welcomed into the salon. The dogs are not caged and roam quite freely. The atmosphere was so relaxed. We left both dogs feeling happy, when we arrived back to collect the dogs they looked and smelt fab plus Alfie was roaming around very relaxed. We will definitely be returning and have already booked our boys in for a tidy up in a few weeks.

I took my 6 month old Cairn Puppy for his first groom here after reading the good reviews and it being close by.. from the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome by Julie and Chip felt right at home having a good play.. nothing was too much trouble and when I came to collect him he looked and smelt amazing and its reasonably priced! I would like to say a massive thank you to Julie and her team for making Chips 1st experience of a groom a fantastic time and putting him at ease straight away.. it was very friendly and a relaxed atmosphere! I would highly recommend this dog grooming salon! Xxx
