Adat Yeshua Messianic Synagogue
I have noticed how many of the bad reviews come from people who have never had the honesty and integrity to have visited Adat Yeshua before posting their negative comments.I spent 30 years in the church. 2 years of that was spent as a full time student at an Anglican Theological College and 10 years was spent in full time Christian ministry, teaching and preaching Christian theology. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest that I am very familiar with the beliefs of the Christian church. However, as the years past and I began a deeper study of Scripture, I became increasingly uncomfortable with what was missed out of God’s Word by the church, what was altered and what was added.6 years ago, on a visit to Norwich, I came across Adat Yeshua. I began a study of the beliefs of Messianic Judaism (not to be confused with Hebrew roots). 3 years ago we moved to Norwich to be a closer part of Adat Yeshua and continue my studies with the same passion as when I was in the church. What I have learned here covers the entirety of Scriptures, adding nothing, changing nothing and leaving nothing out. With my extensive knowledge of Christian theology and beliefs, and my fast growing knowledge of those of Messianic Judaism, I think that I am in a position to make a judgment that few of the detractors on this site are in the position to make. For those who write a review here and claim that Messianic Jews are just Christians, and that Adat Yeshua is a church and not a synagogue, they are simply showing that: a) They clearly have no clear idea of what church theology consists of. b) They have made no effort to find out what the Messianic Jews in Adat Yeshua believe, teach and live out. c) They have never visited Adat Yeshua. d) They are obviously motivated by something other that the Word of God. Is it Fear? Hatred? Jealousy? Or something else? Only they know. Oh, and the Lord. He knows.

This is not a Jewish organisation. It may do splendid works and provide an attractive atmosphere for those who join it but they should not pretend to be what they are not.

Enjoyed fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I was made very welcome. I am standing with Israel. We prayed for Israel on Sunday.

Knowledgeable and friendly Rabbi. Jewish synagogue with a beautiful message for all people, Jew or not. Even weekly Shabbat services live online. Friendly and welcoming, once a month meal in the synagogue after service where you can get to know the members.

If you have an ounce of faith you need to visit this synagogue or watch on line. This take faith to a different level and closer to G-d and gives life to Judaism and living a proper Jewish live. For me, it really explains what being born again really means

I was welcomed, security team asked to check my bag, which as the madness of the world is somewhat concentrated on Jews, I understood. The people were very nice. The music was very good, upbeat, but religious. The Rabbi spoke very well and was knowledgeable in scripture and Jewish culture. Hebrew was sang and spoken throughout the service, the cantor was very good. After the service I was directed upstairs into the new part of the building for a cup of tea and biscuits along with a blessing over bread and wine. An extremely pleasant time was had. Thank you Adat Yeshua.

This Synagogue is a place of worship and should be respected. The Synagogue upholds the Jewish traditions and rituals. The Synagogue celebrates the Jewish festivals. The members of the Synagogue uphold Jewish lifestyles such as observing Shabbat, keep kosher, bat/bar mitzvah. At the front of the Synagogue is a bimah and Torah scrolls. The religious symbolism within the building depicts menorah and Magen David. The Synagogue is Jewish in every essence of practice. The fundamental difference between this Messianic Synagogue and a traditional Synagogue would be the acceptance of Yeshua ( Jesus) as being the Jewish messiah.(Yeshua was a Jew and living a Jewish life.)There are fundamental differences between this Messianic Synagogue and churches both in layout and within the structure of belief. This Synagogue worships during Pesach (not Easter). This Synagogue does not recognise Christmas. The Synagogue upholds a belief in Yeshua (as messiah) as crucial to its messianic status. It is different from both churches and other types of Synagogue because of the belief that Yeshua is the messiah and that Jewish laws (mitzvah) must be upheld as part of that belief .We should all be sensitive to each other’s beliefs. If you uphold your religion you wouldn’t hurt someone else for theirs? Why change an advert and make it misleading for people who are looking for a church this building is not a church. It is a messianic synagogue.

They are a lovely christian community. Absolutely cheerful, friendly and welcoming. Every single one there loves the God of Israel and the Jewish people. Being JEWISH I MUST SAY, THERE IS NOTING JEWISH ABOUT THEM, right from the Pastor to the man at the door who actually can hold a converstaion on any topic. Please dont get me wrong, but that the truth. I peeked into their food bank and they do so much charity.God Bless all of you.

Not a synagogue but a church. This community reveres Jesus as the messiah hence “messianic” which is the one thing ALL denominations of Judaism actually have in common is agreeing this is not true ( and if you know anything about Judaism it’s that we rarely agree with each other on anything.) Stop wearing another culture as a costume.
