Clearly, the money for maintenance is being spent on something else. Gents changing rooms are disgusting, with locker doors hanging off and visibly dirt caked air vents in the showers... despite this being reported. Off to join another gym.

Very friendly and the pool is the best in the area although a little cool sometimes!! Very reasonably priced.

Pool has dirty marks round the edges on the tiles, like a dirty tide mark round a bath, it needs a good clean before it gets worse and people stop going. Its looking very run down and grubby, it needs a good overhaul.

I have recently ended my membership here after only 3 months. The pool is lovely and much more relaxed than other gyms (not just lane swimming). The changing rooms have been updated and are spacious and clean. The gym area is small and there is no air circulating meaning as soon as you walk in it smells unpleasant. I was most disappointed with the classes (apart from Yoga which was good). I did the Zumba and Pilates classes - neither instructor spoke to me prior to the class starting even though I hadn’t been before. This was a concern seeing as though I am recovering from some injuries and they didn’t check this/provide any adaptations. The instructors gave very few instructions and didn’t offer help throughout the sessions. A lot of the classes are timetabled during the day which means there is limited choice if you work full time.

Love hellaby Hall. I just don't go as often as I should do to make use if the fantastic facilities they offer. The spa is wonderful and the beauty treatments amazing and value for money. Staff are great and helpful and it feels like you are having a lovely little spa day when really just at the gym

Just rejoined after 5 years of busy worklife so need all the support I can get to pull back to fitness. The staff are helpful, friendly and supportive and in my view the gym is super clean, to the point that some of the equipment is suffering from the amount of sanitiser used after each persons workout. The pool is my favourite area - good size and also has a sauna and steam room.If you're looking for somewhere that doesn't make you feel awkward, where a none glam body is as accepted as anyone else, I think you'll feel comfortable here and will be very well supported with any fitness goals you want to acheive.

Pool open all day with no restrictions/sessions for Gym members. Some parts look a little tired, odd tiles missing in pool, broken locker doors, but there's always soap in the dispensers in the showers and the staff are friendly and helpful. Slightly smaller than the local public pool but very rarely crowded so you can get a good swim any time of day.
