We are in the Thai restaurant and had the 12 plate signature tasting menu. It was a lot of food and well cooked. You get a starter selection, then main and a dessert. All very nice and came out at decent times. The setting is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Stayed in 2 different rooms here at the bear hotel Beaconsfield both for Halloween! They’ve got that vibe. Very unique and different. Room 20 was cool other than the kitchen area doesn’t work at all so you can’t even put drinks in the fridge as it’s not turnt on, bit strange why they have it if you can’t use it. Apart from this the rest of the room was cute. Both times booking was quite difficult I found the staff very difficult and not accommodating, they talk over you etc. but overall the hotel is great

It’s easy to sum up our afternoon tea experience: STYLE OVER SUBSTANCE.Everything on the stand looked appetising, however the sandwiches were average and the sweet selection tasteless.Despite the restaurant being quiet the service was poor. It was extremely frustrating that we had to continually request our tea was and it eventually arrived 2 HOURS from the point of ordering. It’s hard to understand how an establishment that promotes afternoon teas doesn’t have enough tea pots! The decor itself is beautiful, however other than its uniqueness I wouldn’t return nor recommend it.

Just returned from a one night stay for my husbands birthday treat. The place is amazing with all little places to sit. The room was quirky and comfortable and loved the bath with water falling from the ceiling. The loos are interesting as well. We only had continental breakfast but was sufficient. Had the most amazing (expensive cocktails ). The only thing I didn’t like as when we went to bar to be served was told to sit down as it was table service, to then be charged for the service ? ? There were people in the main bar complaining have no idea what just knew they were but we had no complaints and was a different experience for overnight stay away

absolutely dreadful from start to finish. booked a suite which is meant to be the biggest room, you couldn’t swing a cat in there! honestly had bigger rooms at a premier inn. room was absolutely filthy, bath water was freezing cold.We booked on groupon so supposedly had a 3 course meal included on the evening. We sat down in the restaurant to order and the waiter gave us our menus. Ordered the food, it came out and was absolutely FOUL we didn’t eat any of it. When we checked out the next day we were billed £140 for our dinner which was meant to be free and included in our booking. The woman at reception said the waiter gave us the wrong menu so we have to pay full price for the meals, i disputed this and she only offered me a £40 refund for the price of the original set menu cost. So i was robbed £100 and when i challenged this as being the fault of the waiter, the blonde receptionist and her middle aged companion got verbally abusive, started shouting at us like we were children, it was unbelievable. Avoid this place like the plague. How they think they can charge the likes of £700 on a filthy, tiny, cheap and tacky room is absolutely insane. Don’t waste your time on this joke of a place

Check in is from 4pm which is far too late to then enjoy the pool facility, as it's only open for use in daylight hours. (no lighting or lifeguard?) and you'll literally need to walk across a zebra crossing in your bath robe in winter (are you mad?)Room (Suite) was across the road also, & definitely style over substance. Blinds with curtains that you can't draw closed, as they are just screwed in place for aesthetic purposes only.Room climate control was not getting hot enough & was pretty noisy thus keeping me awake.Bathroom had a sharp (chest height) tile corner that would cause serious injury if you slipped on the wet tiled floor.Rising tv at the foot of the bed was slow to rise/close & hindered my feet when in the closed position. The layout of the room made the room feel dark & cramped as it's separated in to two sections, rather than a big open room which would be much better. The service in the restaurant was fine, but the food was SERIOUSLY lacking & we sent back THREE dishes. Two other guests complained also about food quality & temperature. We literally had to get refunded on the food for dinner, & because of this we decided to skip breakfast & check out.For approx £350 a night we would not recommend this hotel. We were not even compensated for our experience, which just sums up this hotel I guess.

Feels luxurious and special. I had a great time. Amazing service. I have a slight problem with all dead animals heads looking at me at the bar- the safari theme is not for me. Neither is the bear at the front chained in shackles- Why? I mean why, this day of age. It's a beautiful place, amazing facilities. Just can't get over the safari and the bear.

Experienced the 12 course taster and it was elegant, tasty, complex and a compliment to the chef and team. Kudos! The waitress a little sultry. Appreciate not everyone has a good day at the office. The table has a time slot allocated.Overall the place is a masterpiece of layouts and interior design with, nightclub feel, hotel restaurant merged into a seamless hub. Will be back for more.
