Tesco Extra

I work at the local hospital and last friday my car was broken into at the hospital car park. Grace, who was working on the floor, was incredibly kind and helpful with helping me get things I needed to sort the car out so I was able to drive it home. Wanted to say thank you and really appreciated her help during a stressful situation.

Great store. Plenty of stock on the shelves. Staff always happy to help.

Easy to find. Good access roads. Ample parking and car wash on site with petrol station. Money exchange available inside too. Good produce. Vision express opticians and pharmacy inside.

People walking about inside vaping in the aisles, cashiers that spend more time talking to customers than putting items through the tills, keeping others customers waiting because their conversation is way more important, people utterly blocking aisles with trolley's while they chat, personal shoppers who leave their trolleys blocking everyone else's access to items, yep it's a truly outstanding place to shop!!!!!

Was in the area and pleased to see range of Halal foods (my local Chelmsford store doesn't) so took the opportunity to buy some pasties. When at home noticed one (bought 28/7/23) was dated 'use by' 24/7/23.So, check what you're buying - poor stock rotation.

Double check that club card prices shown on price tags get applied at checkout. Had two different items during one shopping that did not apply the club card discount and paid the full price. I wonder how many times it happened before...

Had a worker stand behind me as I was scanning my items because she assumed because of my race I would steal. I spend £70 on a few items and she still accused me of theft but failed to provide any evidence. Staff in general at this Tesco are rude but the store has all your needs.

Large store, cold fresh fish counter, world foods, electrical products, clothing, stationery with comprehensive selection of cards gift bags and wrapping paper and bags. Plenty of parking spaces petrol and diesel on sale.Pleasant cafe toasted sandwich, cake and biscuits good coffee selection.

I went to buy cigarettes and was met with a very unwelcoming, rude, unprofessional and agressive member of staff namely Zara. I asked her for cigarettes and she asked for ID i told her i have got ID on my phone and she said she will not accept it although i have been served cigarette from the same counter sometimes they didn’t ask for ID and other times they have accepted it from my phone. When i said this to her she threatened to call security however security was standing there watching the whole situation that occured. I then asked her for the policy which states i MUST provide physical ID which she could not provide and then called other staff members saying i was being agressive and the other staff (casey) took me to the side and explained the situation in a much more professional manner however unfortunately she could not provide me the policy either. I then asked multiple members of staff if i looked over 25 and they all agreed. I belive Zara is very inadequate for her position and should go through training again and should be observed as she is putting up a very unprofessional and very unwelcoming image for tesco, which makes you question tesco’s etiquette’s
