Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton

Really bad service. No service in Bury have to go to Bolton which is another town. Can't get through on phone to speak to anyone. Waiting over an hour gave up. Filled in online form then someone phoned me but had problems with their phone system si gave up. No ideas when they will phone so you have to carry your phone everywhere with you even to bathroom.Not funded to do any casework. Just put the fear of God into me regarding my situation when my mental health already bad. Worse case scenario but no help on what I can do with my situation or get help. They are extremely judgmental Victorian in their attitude towards people. Ie deserving and undeserving poor. Very Dickensian. No idea about community care ombudsman is a good service and say they have never come across any complaints. They haven't seen reviews.

Wasted a hole week. Got a very rude arrogant women who was very judgemental didn't listen to me talked over me. I could have been told on the first phone call. Appallingly rude! With a very bad attitude, I was shocked about her manner, but I've seen others comment on the behaviour of staff.

I won't be going back there in a hurry, it was a very uncomfortable experience. There's no private rooms (except for the staff taking lots of tea breaks), no public toilets and too much form filling and waiting around to be seen. Worst of all, the advisor was quite abrupt, impatient and kept talking instead of listening, although they did say something that may be useful for my PIP tribunal.

I found the staff to be cooperative and helpful. I had an issue with my bank, and they contacted me to explain what I should do and even sent me a file. It was an excellent experience, and this place can be considered like your right-hand if you encounter any problems in the UK. Thank you very much.

The telephone advice service is an absolute joke. On hold for 1hour and then returned to the main menu. Let's see if someone accountable chooses to give me a callback following this review. I understand the service is free but please make it a little more reliable.

Absolutely useless. Waiting patiently for 1 and a half hours in the queue to be sent back to main menu and asked to wait again for an available advisor". Absolute waste of time. Don't call even in emergency because they couldn't care less. Close that waste of money down"

Very Poor Customer service. Did not show any intentions to resolve my issue but try to pass the book to others. i have heard a lot of them but really had a bad experience. Really poor experience specially face to face customer service team need training to deal with public. Book passers

Rung the number yesterday to speak to an advisor.Was on hold for a hour no one answered the phone.Currently on phone again and already holding on for 45mins no one answering. Impossible to get to speak to advisor
