Mosan was amazing! He ensured we had everything we needed for the stay and educated us in the local area. The room was so clean and bedding was very comfortable and well appointed. Would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Rafay.

Awful. Stank of cannibis as soon as we walked in. Walked into the room and noticed straight away it was dirty. There was a bad smell and upon inspection the bed hadn’t been changed from the last person. It was full of hair and stains. We also had no tv remote so we rang the number provided who said he would be here in 5. He gave us a new tv remote and threw a bottom sheet in (which also had a large yellow stain) we had to use our clothes as pillowcases as I would not put my head on theirs after finding a tube of cold sore cream next to the tv. There was also a large splatter down the side of the bed which looked like vomit. It was just awful and I would not recommend to anyone.

Advantages:The very young receptionist was very helpful.Nice sized bedroom and posh looking, was very clean. The bathroom was nice.Nice and quiet, so peaceful.Nice and cosy bed.Posh furniture and bedding. One of the best hotels ive stayed at.Couldn't complain about it to be fair, just loved it.Disadvantages:I struggled to get the tv working. There was no around to ask for help.Needed more tea, sugar, milk and biscuits for a cup of tea before I left.No one at the reception desk to provide the things needed it was closed.Needed soap for the bath.I suggest you hire a receptionist for the afternoon/evening time.

Scam.....Filthy Place...Avoid at any cost....Not fit for the family stay.I booked a stay at this hotel through booking website, with the intention of attending a family wedding. However, I was deeply disappointed and felt deceived by the misleading photos and information provided on the website. It quickly became apparent that this hotel is nothing more than a scam and not of a reputable establishment.Upon arrival, my spouse and I were made to wait outside for nearly half an hour before being allowed entry by a so-called owner/receptionist. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with an unsettlingatmosphere that felt like a dungeon. The room we were assigned was in a deplorable condition, emanating a foul odor that almost made us faint. The curtains were tattered and stained, the pillows and quilt were visibly soiled, and the bin in the room was filled with dirty tissues. To make matters worse, there was leftover takeaway food left in a bag, adding to the overall unpleasantness.Realizing that we had been completely deceived and feeling deeply embarrassed, I promptly contacted the provided phone number, only to be met with a person claiming to be the receptionist. He arrived at our room and, instead of addressing the issues, he became irate and instructed us to leave his premises. I was shocked to encounter a receptionist/owner who was unkempt, still in shorts, and clearly lacking professionalism in attending to guests. We felt humiliated and left the place. In an effort to document our experience, we took photographs of the deplorable conditions we encountered before swiftly departing. Fortunately, we managed to find alternative accommodation at the lovely Hampton by Hilton in Blackburn.I implore everyone to avoid this hotel at all costs. It is nothing more than a scam, and I am deeply disappointed that the hotel booking website continues to advertise such an establishment on their website. I have reported the incident to the website, and they have assured me that they will investigate the matter and provide me with a response. In addition, I want to highlight that the owner/receptionist of the hotel, instead of addressing the issues we raised, proceeded to blame us for arriving early, despite the fact that he himself checked us in and provided us with a room number. When I confronted him about the appalling conditions, he became extremely aggressive and refused to listen to any of our concerns. I have traveled extensively around the world, but I have never encountered someone as bullying and disrespectful as this individual. His behaviour was utterly deplorable, and it is clear that he is nothing more than a fraud. In conclusion, this hotel is entirely unsuitable for a family stay, and I urge prospective guests to avoid booking it under any circumstances. It will only lead to disappointment and frustration
