Recovery Hub @ East Leeds

Thank you to all staff at Seacroft Recovery Hub. You have all been so lovely looking after our mother.Every member of staff are so kind, hard working and caring. You all work doing different jobs but work to help our relatives. xxxxxxxxx

We can't thank you enough for all you did for my mother during her stay she was very well cared for and well looked after. The security in the building was fabulous which gave us peace of mind when she was wondering round. We can not thank Mark and his fabulous team enough.

Mum was admitted directly from St James hospital, the care was excellent, mum was made to feel welcome & at home so much so that she was sad to leave when she was discharged today. The care was excellent & the staff very caring , respectful & kind, arranging for mum to have her hair done & a visit from the chiropodist, a big thank you from all mums family we were so relieved to leave mum in such a calm caring environment, thank you

I can’t praise the Staff at The Recovery Hub enough!My mum was taken there on the 19th December after a stay in hospital, following a nasty fall at home.They immediately made her welcome and comfortable. Mum’s health deteriorated as she wouldn’t eat or drink, the staff tried everything they could but I think she had just given up. She was 93.Many of the staff made close relationships with mum, whereby they would sit with her to comfort her or just for a natter.Unfortunately Mum passed away peacefully on Saturday 26th March - the day before Mother’s Day, she had been in The Hub just over 3 months, a stay which should have been 6-8 weeks!I just don’t know the words to sum up how much the staff helped not only me but mum too, and also considering her challenging behaviour as her mental health declined.If your loved one has to be admitted into The Hub at Seacroft, please don’t worry, the staff there are absolute angels.From the bottom of my heart, thank you all xx

I can not praise the team at East Leeds Recovery Hub highly enough. My Mum (Edith) was there for a period of 7 weeks for recovery and assessment. The care that she received was superb, the management team, the care staff, the assessment team, the reception staff and the domiciliary staff were always friendly, kind and efficient in their respective roles. Mum really benefitted from her stay and she enjoyed it so much that she didn't want to leave when the time came two weeks ago. Thank you to all from the bottom of our hearts xx

We are so very grateful for the care our father has received at the Hub over the last 3 weeks.Transferred from hospital for rehabilitation, he has been so well looked after in a warm, friendly caring environment. The team have worked with him to enable us to bring him back home. The hub is immaculate and the lounges decorated beautifully. Whilst my dad had been in they have decorated everywhere for Christmas and also for the World Cup!!! Thank you once again.

Mum has recently made a really good recovery after a fall in her own home with the support of the professional and very friendly staff at East Leeds Recovery Hub. She is now able to be back at home and living as independently as she can be with support. We were very grateful to the team in Seacroft for looking after her, helping her to become mobile and made us feel very welcome when we visited. Thank you.

My mother recently had an extended stay here and her care was excellent. The staff are extremely hard working and very friendly. My mother made a very good recovery while she was here and its a pity that it is not a long stay care home. The staff also supported me and helped with any concerns I had I thank them for that. They made sure that mum was involved in all their activities to keep her stimuted. She was also given one to one care when it was required. I cannot thank them enough.

If I could give zero stars, I would do. If you or a family member are offered this ‘recovery hub’ as the next step in recovery/rehab, please avoid at all costs. We have had to discharge my grandad early from this place, as he wasn’t washed in 9 days, and received minimal care. The excuse is they are ‘short staffed’. It transpires that they have covered up a fall that my grandad had, which resulted in a new fracture, when he should have been observed and assisted. It is disgraceful, and shameful from both the staff and the institution. PLEASE AVOID.

I can't praise the staff at the Hub enough for the help they gave both me and my mum through a very stressful time. The care she received was brilliant and helped her from being bed bound to walking again gaining her confidence and being able to live independently again. The staff go above and beyond and went out of their way to ensure she had everything she needed when leaving and followed up to check she was doing well after leaving. It was very emotional leaving the Hub as the staff cared for my mum like she was part of their family. Amazing staff and manager!
