From previous experiences I have developed a fear of going to the dentist. Teesta has been absolutely amazing for me. She’s calm, friendly, professional and most of all kind. If she were to leave I would be following her whether she went in the country! From barely being able to go to the dentist I now keep up with my appointments thanks to her.Teesta has also been fabulous with my daughter. She badly broke both of her front, adult teeth and has also perhaps picked up my worry around the dentist, but Teesta treats her brilliantly. The practice are quick to fit her in when a ‘rebuild’ is required and Teesta does an exceptional job at making them straight and looking like normal (a significantly better job than a dentist elsewhere that specialised in this procedure).I couldn’t rate this dentist practice highly enough.

Have not been to dentist since before pandemic. After hearing news that many other surgeries have taken clients off their books for not visiting during the last two years, I was understandably worried.I cracked a filling on Friday evening and called first thing Monday. Was given an emergency appointment the following day. New receptionist was very helpful. I knew that they would not fix it on the day and this has always been the case as they need to assess first. My new dentist, Sheena, was lovely (I will miss Alka but she deserves a rest!), explained everything and did what she could to alleviate my pain until I could get the filling repaired.New receptionists were very polite and helpful (agree with previous reviews-not the case now). Made an otherwise bad experience much better. Thank you

Was admitted to hospital for a week, and unfortunately missed my appointment. I couldn’t contact due to being treated, and I received a rude phone call saying that I missed my appointment and should’ve given notice, essentially being told off. I then received a rude letter threatening that they would cancel my treatment on the NHS if I missed another appointment, when this missed appointment was completely unintentional and out of my control. Was completely disgusted with how they treated me especially when I had given the explanation of why I was unable to attend. Not the first time I’ve experienced the rude staff and receptionists there.

If it was possible to give no stars I would. As a family we have been a patient of this surgery for about 16 years and spans three generations.I have been suffering for nearly three years with a wisdom tooth growing vertically and needs to be removed at the hospital. I was first diagnosed in October 2018 due to an infection. In September 2019 I had another infection I was told they needed to refer me to the hospital for treatment, in January 2020 I had another flair up and during the visit I mentioned I still hadn’t heard about the referral. I was told by Alka she would send me to a surgery in Watford as part of the referral. This happened just before lockdown, in August I had another flair up of the infection. I called the surgery for a prescription the receptionist said she would get Alka to call me.Alka called me and despite knowing all the problems with the referral’s and the lost referrals and a number infections I’ve had said “You will need to come to a emergency appointment which will cost £60” I was really surprised and shocked about this I tried to explain that I had lost my job due to COVID-19 was in massive debt and had no salary or no assistance from the government from Covid-19 provisions, because I was on Universal Credits I asked if that entitled me to some assistance. I was told NO and if I didn’t like it to go a find another dentist. There was no consideration for the fact this is a known ongoing problem or the fact that I should have been seen ages ago it was completely unfair to charge £60 for a prescription and again I was told pay it or go elsewhere. Alka knew we was shielding because my son had a bone marrow transplant in 2019 and couldn’t just go and find and visit places. She was unsympathetic to all of this Alka didn’t care that the whole family had been patients at the surgery or the amount of time we have been going there it was just the attitude like it or go else where. This is meant to be a caring profession maybe this has been lost on them because there focus now is not about patient care but money.Alka’s attitude is disgraceful and doesn’t care about pain or suffering and how infections can effect people mood and stress levels and aggravated by extreme financial difficulties or patient loyalty to her.I found a fantastic dentist in Hemel Hempstead who understood and was sympathetic to my problem of the pain, lost referrals and family issues and issued me a prescription.I have since found out that Alka has been discussing my case with other people and business locally and refused to see me because of my frustration and reaction to the the take it or leave it attitude and £60 for a prescription which I received without cost from another dentist that has never seen me and been told by two medical professionals it was unreasonable to charge for the prescription. If you want to be overcharged and receive no sympathy for your problem and what to be a gossiped about this is the surgery for you. If you don’t steer clear and book with someone else.Everything stated in this review in fact and if anything underplayed and they are lucky its just a review I’m leaving and not taking them to CCG for a breach in patient confidentiality.

Absolutely terrible, was refused an appointment for being a few mins late. Disregard to patients suffering in pain. After explaining difficult circumstance having taken a day off work still absolutely non-negotitable for even rebooking an appointment. I was polite in explaining my situtation still remain unhelpful. Receptionist would not even allow me to wait on the premises to discuss the situtation. Avoid !!! plently of other dental practice in the area of Hertfordshire. Really not sure what I am paying my taxes for.

I've never some across such wonderful and welcoming staff, from the second I walked in to the second I left. I've been attending this Dental practice since I was 9 years old and every single member of staff is lovely and welcoming. I haven't clue what the two bafoons are talking about below, clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Please ignore there comments. Highly recommend!

Fantastic service. I am petrified of the dentist and sadly have passed this fear on to my children. All the dentist we see are amazing, they are calm, reassuring, confident and most of all experts in their field. The reception staff are war and welcoming. I couldn't and wouldn't go anywhere else for treatment.

The dentists are good, if you can get past the rude, patronising receptionist!Their filing system is a bit of a shambles as initially they could not find my whole family (3 of us) 6 months after the first appointment and the receptionist tried to get me off the phone saying we were not registered with them. Upon my insistence she eventually found our files. In a separate incident was running late for an appointment, I tried to call through and the lines were busy for 10 minutes, the recptionist then called and started to upbraid me for missing the start of the appointment and cast aspersions on my intentions to attend an appointment I booked! the end of it, is I am no longer going to go to this surgery and deeply disappointed to have been treated this way!!
