The entrance area is dirty, lift wasn't working. I've solo travelled around many parts of the world and this is literally the first hotel/hostel to refuse to hold my backpack behind reception unless I paid an early check in fee of £10 as I arrived a few hrs early which is crazy. While I stayed there was building work going on in the building. Its by a main busy road which is very noisy. The girl at reception seemed friendly enough. I'd generally avoid this place if your in the area, the premier Inn (10 mins walk away ) where I stayed in previous evening I would recommend. They had no space but still held my bags.

Great experience with my stay at travellodge, stayed with my friend from the 1st until the 8th and we enjoyed our stay, service was nice, staff was friendly and very kind in morning and evenings.Room wise the only flaw i saw is that the flush of the toilets takes way too long to fill up, leaving me or my friend unable to use the toilet right after the other as there was not enough water to go into the flush system. The bathtub drain, drained really slowly, we couldnt wash the bathtub right away and had to wait a few minutes to be cleaned up if travelodge could reply to my revie i can give some feedback on which room i was in in order to fix it.Smart tvs are unfortunately not a thing so there was no way to connect a tablet or laptop pc to watch movies or series.Thats it really, overall good experience ^^

Ok let’s start off by saying the hotel is a great value for money. The only reason I gave the location a 3 is because the hotel is situated next to a main road, and doesn’t have a proper entrance. You need to come in through a side entrance and take a lift to the reception. There is a train station nearby and this does not disturb me. I am a transport enthusiast so I am happy to be able to see trains out of my window. The room is clean and comfortable. If you ignore the main road there is a nice view of the lake and if you like trains, there’s a train station too. The trains make barely any noise and you can’t hear them from your room. The window has a problem and couldn’t be locked properly, but that wasn’t a problem. Breakfast is ok. Food was amazing but the apple and orange juice was very watered down. Not happy. I would stay again, but if price is the same or more expensive than Bournemouth seafront, I’m staying at Bournemouth seafront. Would recommend if train enthusiast.

Nice clean modern room in a well situated hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The only thing which was a real letdown was the breakfast which was a shadow of what it should have been. Dry sausage, dry bacon, no mushrooms, no yoghurt. It was not worth £3 never mind £10.

It was so bad, we checked out early. We arrived to find we could not park, and ended up having to pay to park in Asda for the duration of our trip. The person who checked us in was rude, handed over the key - no telling me the room number or where the lift was or even what floor we were on. Did mange to tell my son he did not need to take the milks on the side that are help yourself because they had them in the rooms - I simply replied yes but you barely put enough in for 1 drink and my son said yes but my parents drink a lot of tea.The hotel was filthy, our room had no hand soap, and remnants of some sort of sticky goo on the bathroom counter all of which we had to clean ourselves. We put our please freshen me up" sign on the door every day

Stayed here before it was refurbished and it's so much better now. My room was warm and comfortable. Great shower. Had breakfast and it was lovely. Help yourself to all you want as many times as you want. Set us up for the day. Favourite thing was the staff. Young girl in the bar was so bubbly and friendly. Only downside was the parking. Not surprising as it is shared with Doctors, the gym and Costa. But we managed to find a spot eventually.

Upon arrival we were greeted with the amazing reception team that welcomed us with smile. We had an issue with the floor door however the issue was solved quickly by the help of the reception team. The room was pretty spacious for 2 people and had plenty of natural light. The room had all the necessary items you would need for a quick stay and extra towels, pillows and blankets were already available in the room which was a nice touch as you didn’t need to ask for it. But unfortunately there’s no iron or hairdryer provided. The body wash and hand wash smells very nice but it’s extremely cheap. It’s a short walk from Poole train station, city centre and the quay. All and all good hotel for a short stay for a good price. There’s definitely room for improvement as we found a fair amount of dust on the room furniture which I think was due to the window being left open.Location couldn’t get better and staff were fantastic. Thanks you
