The Gun Shop

I responded to a Gun Trader advert, gave them a phone call to get more information on the gun advertised. The man on the phone was polite, friendly and honest. I asked him to put the gun aside as I wanted to buy it. I arrived at the shop a couple of hours later and yes the gun was behind the counter ready for me. The paperwork was completed within 15 minutes, payment was made and I took the gun away packed in my case. The young man was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and I am more than happy with my purchase, it was definitely worth the 200 mile round trip on my motorcycle!

Didn’t even get a chance to look around inside the store, I was told right away that I can’t come in without a mask, I am exempt and I don’t have any problems going in to any other shops. That is not how you approach the customers in my opinion. I understand that there’s a new mask restrictions, but when do people finally realise that they simply DON’T WORK it has been proven many times before. If you’re like me and you like to breathe normally then this shop is not for you, and you are not welcome there.

Please don’t waste your time or money using this place like I did... there are some amazing gun shops/gunsmiths locally who will be able to provide you with the service that you deserve!!!Extremely poor service, staff are at best unhelpful and at worst incompetent. Little or no knowledge of the industry past what can be read from a brochure.Highly unprofessional service, I honestly wonder how they managed to acquire their “RFD” status, something that should be reviewed imminently by Hampshire Constabulary.The owner of this establishment would be well advised to replace the current staff with professional, mature and knowledgeable adults.

Me and my brother (Jacob) went in to ask questions about licensing and the price of starting shooting . We were met by Kerry behind the till who was extremely informative and couldn’t of given us a better service . We immediately felt comfortable in the shop even when everything was new to us . She took the time to answer all our questions and was very informative with how we can take our next steps .When we are both licensed we will definitely be making our first purchase through her ☺️.

Absolutely amazing shop and staff, couldn’t have been more helpful.After an initial phone call that was handled fantastically and provided me with answers to all my questions I decided to make the 2 hour journey to the shop.On arrival I was welcomed and shown the gun I had come to see. Initially I had decided I really wanted 28” barrels and this one had 30” (I knew this prior to travelling) but that is the same as the gun I had sold long ago that I desperately wanted to replace as I got on so well with it.There was no pressure at all to buy and I was given time to think about it - most of which I used to chat to the staff while I made a decision. Ultimately I decided to purchase the gun and I couldn’t be happier.If I could give more stars I would as all the staff were friendly and helpful which made for a very nice buying experience, I only have one complaint and that is I wish you guys were closer!I will certainly come back, hopefully the traffic is better next time.

Mixed experiences with this shop, had a couple of visits in the last few months where it seemed pretty clear they didn't wanna help. Having said that my last visit was more than helpful. Hoping the standards keep getting higher!

It's a great shop, the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, great selection of guns and equipment. I recently purchased my first shotgun from TGS, no pressuere selling and I ended up with a superb shotgun. I've also just had my 35+ year old airgun serviced and foresight fixed, I'm not sure the my old airgun ever worked quite as well as it does now, superb job thank you. I thoroughly recommend this shop and the gunsmith !

After seeing TGS on YouTube I was interested in visiting the shop, 3500 miles from where I live in MIchigan, USA. On a recent visit to England I found some time to drive to TGS and was very happy with the staff and the products. The shop has a good selection of guns, clothing and footwear. I purchased a Laksen shooting waistcoat/vest and some other items. The staff were all friendly and enthusiastic. I will visit again the next time I’m in England. Great place to shop.

Instant and friendly! I called and spoke with Kerry about an issue with my rifle and told I could bring it straight in , again Kerry served me and had the gun repaired while I waited!The cost was exceptionally reasonable but the jam in the doughnut was the service ... well done Team and Kerry make sure you get a pay riseMany thanks and regardsSteve
