Very friendly staff, always welcoming and the veterinarians are amazing. Used this place for several years. They have been amazing during my dogs life. They were also very lovely when we had to put out dog to sleep. They sent a sympathy card too which was very much appreciated.

Called to ask if they could put my very old poorly dog to sleep? But as I was registered there and went to another vet 2 years ago in an emergency.l, they refused. Receptionist showed zero empathy when I said I’ll just have to let him die in pain as I didn’t want to use the other vet as they had zero empathy too! Maybe vets are literally in the job for the money as they clearly don’t care about animals in pain …… can’t imagine not offering to help someone in need

100% recommendThe vets are 100% for the pets hereThey have sorted out problems that other vetshad mis diagnosed.They also really nice people from the receptionists to the vets.Widley is lucky to have this practice , the ones in Portsmouth are appalling & mostly national chains , who don’t care about the petsIt’s rare to find a independent practice , let’s hope it stays that wayI called up tonight at 4.30 with a emergency & they booked me in for 5.30Great relief ,Thank u 5****+

Had an emergency with our dog, rushed in for some advice, was completely declined any help. Would have to wait a good amount of time and, it being an emergency, we didn’t have this time. Staff were apathetic

Geoff of Purbrook Vets, is nothing less than awesome.He is the most caring, thoughtful person you could ever want to care for your pet. When our cat Radar died, Geoff sent us a condolence card and a paw print from Radar too, Geoff used to call him scrapper. We are now waiting for the day, our Dog Ruby, who has known Geoff all her life, has an operation on her leg. We trust the Doc wholeheartedly, and wouldn't take our pets to any other Vet. Not only is Geoff an amazing Vet, he is a very funny bloke along with it. Geoff even stitched up my Chickens neck after Ruby attacked her, Ruby was then known as the Chook killer by the Doc.Thank you for looking after our family Geoff, you're a Star.The newest addition to our Home is Thorn (pictured), a little Barrel of Monkeys. Of course, we won't trust any other Vet with our Pets. Thorn had his first Puppy check and Jabs, as Usual, Doc was awesome with him, told us Thorn has the Smarts. We have set up the Pet Plan now too, saves a lot of Money in the long run, but no pressure, we decided to do it off our own backs.No doubt, there will be many more visits to the Doc in the in years to come.We have every confidence in his work and his advise.Thanks again Doc.Bill, Sharon, Ruby & Radar (Deceased) and now Thorn.

I absolutely cannot fault this Practice, Geoff Igor and all the staff are just so lovely. They are kind gentle and knowledgeable and I wouldn’t take my little man anywhere else. The best Vets around by far!

Always extremely caring and great with the animals! All staff are friendly and happy to help with anything.

Very rude on enquiry my wife was told in a unpolite manner that our dog could not be accepted and when she asked for a recommendation was told to Google it in an abrupt manner, my wife told them we was new in the area and she was still rude so wouldn't recommend it
