Medivet Wimborne

Misdiagnosed my pet who had been poisoned and subsequently sustained a skull fracture. She presented with loss of her hind legs , wetting herself, heavy bleeding from her head and nose after stumbling out of the house onto a concrete slab and hitting our back door... (it opens outward) We were told that the bleeding was not a cause for concern then proceeded to categorically state that my beloved dog had neurological impairment and arranged with a specialist vet to assess her as a routine appt and not the emergency that we were told had been done. We collected her to transport her elsewere. To be met with my baby saturated in urine, unable to walk properly and bleeding from her head and nose. Upon the specialist vets seeing her they confirmed the fractured skull and poisoning unfortunately to much time had elapsed to save our baby..

Very professional and friendly staff .No complaints whatsoever in the way they dealt with us and Poppy. Can't ask for more. We had no problems with the previous vet but things are changing and moving forward all the time and we think you have to get used to changes .but we couldn't ask for a better service.

Mary and Ane always have been helpful, explained all procedures, and prescribed the right treatment to my cats. I am grateful for their care and kind attitude.

This was our first visit since before lockdown. I was so pleased with the safety precautions and social distancing that was in place. Staff were friendly and explained clearly and concisely what to expect at the visit. Payment was taken after the appointment over the phone. After the appointment the vet brought my cat back to my car where I had waited and despite the heavy rainfall he took time to explain the treatment given. Great service- I would highly recommend medivet Wimborne to other pet owners in our area. Many thanks.

I used this practice for many years until moving to Wales in 2002. I have missed their care and understanding of clients whose pets mean the world to them. I have been tempted many times to make the trip back to Wimborne just to bring one of my dogs to them. Alas finances don't allow me to. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet in the area. If by chance either John or Owain read this I thought you might like to know Belle my Westie is still going strong she will be 15 in May. I am amazed to see the very helpful Margaret is still with you! My very best wishes to you all.

Our dog loves going here, she is fussed and spoiled on every visit. The staff are friendly and personable. Even when we moved we still come back her due to the staff's caring of our dog.

I saw a brilliant lady vet, very good with my cat Jesse and she found solutions to my cat picking up problematic ticks and his dental issues.Highly recommend!!!

This week two of the lady vets ran out of their Wimborne office and stopped the traffic on the main road to rescue a female Mallard duck with her ducklings who were close to being run over as there was nowhere for them to escape and motorists were unsure what to do. The ladies did it so quickly with a net and boxes I was so impressed. I watched them release the birds shortly after and this and it shows 100% you will be looked after if you use this veterinary surgery to care for your animals. Well done Burrows full marks you are brilliant.

They are an absolutely amazing Family of vets and veterinary nurses ...even at our darkest hour with our dog Milo i felt they were always doing their best by him and were very well equipped to deal with our feelings and emotions... i would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a friendly proffesional vet too look after their fur babies
