I feel totally scammed by this company. I was one of many backers of their kickstarter campaign who have not received what I paid for. It appears that my package was sent to me on 02/21/2023, however, I never received it or even a tracking message.I have tried to contact them several times by email and they do not answer. The last public update on this matter was on April 4, stating that they were going to reopen the pledge manager because they said there was a problem with some orders due to a Royal Mail cyberattack, however, it was never reopened nor was there a response from them.I don't recommend them at all.

A great shop , In a great place , run by great people. An awesome little shop at moss end garden centre that's centred mainly around war games like Warhammer but also sells and hosts card game nights and D&D games.I started going around this time last year and have been going consistently every week since and not once have I felt unwelcome. You'll find a great community here that can help or teach you any game you could possibly want to learn. They can provide drinks and snacks during your long game sessions there or during a quick pop in for a chat and a coffee. They also have a very nice unique blend of coffee which they make perfect each time. Especially when made by Alex, his are just better.

I backed the Kickstarter two years ago. I paid in full and paid full shipping to get items to the US. To date I’ve not received anything. I contacted and was simply told they didn’t have my address via kickstarter even though kickstarter and Cabin Cryptic collected shipping costs. They told me simply, kickstarter was done and that’s it. I asked if I was going to get either what I paid for or a refund and now am being ignored. This is NOT how you run a business. You do not take money and not supply a product. They should be disappointed in how they approach customer service. It isn’t just me, there are hundreds of comments of people sharing the same story of feeling stolen from. Many others received a lesser product than what they were supposed to receive and now get no communication with this company. I am happy to update my review if they treat people fairly. But when I paid for a product WITH SHIPPING and am now being told I get nothing, that is nothing short of theft. They can fix it and I hope they do.

Fantastic place for all your tabletop gaming and miniature needs. Had a great evening with friends playing board games and party games and even some Pokémon cards. It was great to see others playing 40k, D&D and plenty of other games as well. Coffee is also on point, as is the Siren beer on tap. Couldn’t recommend more highly, go check it out!

Cryptic is one of the best LGS's around! They welcome you as family and make you feel included in everything here whether is MTG, warhammer or any tabletop games. You can rent board games here and they make great coffees too! Well stocked and a great atmosphere! Can't recommend it enough!

Absolutey lovely shop tucked away in Moss End. My favourite local games shop since I first went in a while back, haven't been anywhere else since. All staff are friendly, welcoming, and keen to help anyone out with learning new games, and they foster a brilliant community of players all of whom are lovely. With a great range of magic, miniatures and board games at good prices, there's no place I'd rather be of an evening than enjoying some in-house coffee with my friends at the Cryptic Cabin.

As many other reviews, I'm one of the customer they robbed. We ordered an expensive set of brush from them, paid it and they never sent it to us. It's been 2 years they should have been delivered and we cannot get any answer from them. They sometimes answer to my message to say they are sorry and will send them, but nothing happens months after months. At this stage we are close to open a legal action against them as this is simply theft.

Amazing local game shop and now my number 1 go to for all hobby needs. Staff are friendly knowledgeable and welcoming. The store is always clean, warm and well lit and they have a great selection of gaming tables and terrain.More than that they have cultivated a great community which makes it easy to find players to game with. Their tournaments and events are well worth taking part in!

It's a neat little shop they have some nice stock however I have some issues that made me give 2 stars.1. A lot of the stock at the shop does not have price tags which can be annoying having to constantly go to the til and ask for a price check (also looking back at my transaction history and what my friends bought we are actually believing that we have been overcharged)2. The booking system seems to not be accurate as there was plenty availablity on wargaming and board gaming tables however the wargaming tables were all taken up by an event.3. Probably the main issue that caused the 2 stars is their table costs, £2.50 per person per hour and a half with no cap can be quite costly especially when multiple places that cap their price at a certain amount per person it's a bit off putting wanting to play a game at the shop4. Trying to charge people table fee when they aren't playing at the table is a bit off putting too yes they were spectating the games being played however they weren't using the table which most shops do not charge to do I did say at the til they shouldn't be needed to pay however if it's in their rules I did offer to pay for the whole table including the 2 spectators. And they said they will only charge me for 2 peoples table times at 2 and a half hours each one thing to note about the spectators is that while we were playing they did spend a fair amount at the shop on their products in the shelves so even tho they did not use the table they did still give money to the shop5. Being overcharged like I previously mentioned in the review friends and I have felt that we've been overcharged as we have checked on how much we should have spent on the products aswell as the table fee as an example I bought 3 self adhesive magnets at 5.99 each on their website and table time for myself and my friend which we were only there from 12-14:30 which should only be technically £5 per person which in total I should have been charge £27.97 however I was charged £32.97 which I have been charged an extra £5.It's a shame I have been to the shop and have a few nice occasions shopping so I wanted to show my friends however this experience has left my friends and I a bit disappointed and put off gaming there again.
