The Anvil Arms
Our second visit to this lovely pub.The warm welcome and excellent home cooked food was as exceptional as last time. Monday nights home cooked ham and home made pies are great!The Sunday lunch we had on our last visit was brilliant. Plenty of local meat and 7 different veg!The staff are kind and bend over backwards to help. The pub is pristine.Thank you. We will be back for sure.I have mentioned you in my guest book.

The Anvil Arms
We have been going to the Anvil for many years and we highly rate this venue, hence the five star rating. The food and service is outstanding. Excellent choice of menu particularly for Sunday lunch. Choice of meats, and includes seven vegetables and two potatoes. Not forgetting the Yorkshire Pudding. Staff are very efficient and friendly and the food is very reasonably priced offering excellent value. The two course special on Monday is not to be missed along with the Burger and a Pint on a Friday . Home cooking at it’s best and we would definitely recommend you give it a try.

Five stars for this lovely old pub, with lovely staff, and a Sunday lunch to die for!!! Portion size above and beyond what you expect! Puddings we're lovely too, and the prices were really competitive, well worth a visit!

Went to the Anvil Arms for Sunday Lunch, it is so popular there are two sittings. Sheila the landlady is also the chef. The food is always superb and there is a good selection beers, wines and spirits behind the bar. You need to ring and book on Sunday's.
