Ortons Audio Visual Northampton

A few weeks ago I enquired via emailabout a pair of speakers that were listed on Ortons website, to check they were still available. I received a prompt email back confirming that they were.A few days later I asked if they could ship them, as I was isolating due to a family member having Covid-19. I never received a reply.Several days later I contacted them again through their website (as I had done initially), and said I wanted to buy the speakers, was happy to pay over phone/through website and that due to the second lockdown I needed them posting. (Their website incidentally does state free shipping for all products). Again three days later and I haven't had a reply.My issue is NOT with their obvious disinclination to post the £800 speakers (they must be doing really well to be happy to lose an £800 sale a couple of days before UK lockdown rules state they must close for a month), but with the total lack of communication, It would take seconds to politely reply, even to say 'we're not willing to post them. At least then I would know that I cannot purchase them until we come out of lockdown in 4 weeks time. The refusal to communicate strikes me that they haven't considered that I may make other purchases in future, which now won't be happening.Really disappointed.

First time purchasing from Ortons, had some questions prior to my purchase which where answered extremely promptly. Communication from Nik was great throughout the process and the item I ordered was delivered quickly. Absolutely could not have asked for more. Definitely recommend buying from here

Late review but busted my dads speaker which he bought from here, contacted them and they were very helpful and understanding! Sorted out a repair very quickly and the speaker has been as good as new ever since! Great service!

Great shop, got my speakers shipped to Holland, fast delivery. The spikes were missing in the packaging and Orton got the manufacturer to send an extra set and forwarded them on. Great service and great products, can highly recommend!

I ordered a center speaker from The Netherlands, and received it within 5 days. It was sold 200 euros cheaper than local stores, and the shipping fee was very reasonable. The speaker was wrapped in black foil to disguise the contents. Overall, great experience so far. And thanks for shipping to mainland Europe.

Orton's took the time to advise lots of detail and compatibility before purchasing a Bose soundbar and sub for TV.. System works perfectly. Easy to rig and sounds great. Many thanks Orton's. Fast free delivery too. Would recommend.

Great experience from store staff. I needed help upgrading my old surround sound equipment and the experts in this store helped me do that. No pressure sales people or school kid Saturday jobs here. Just knowledgable helpful friendly staff there to help and support the customer. Would highly recommend.

Craig was more than happy to setup a demo for an amp I was interested in, with some speakers similar to what I have at home at fairly short notice.It was a very relaxed experience. No hard sell and Craig was very happy for me to take my time listening to a range of music I was familiar with. Pricing for the amp was spot on (couldn't have found it cheaper elsewhere), so it was an easy decision to go ahead with the purchase. I'll definitely be back when I look to upgrade other parts of the system in time.

I phoned prior to arriving and they had everything I required, they helped loading my car and were willing to help with a query when I called a few days later.I am pleased with my purchase and wish I had time to look around their shop as it had a great variety of goods to view. I would go back if in the area.
