Waitrose & Partners Cambridge

Think that’s the end of Waitrose for us. 15 quid more expensive on a normal shop and customer service going downhill. You now can’t even use the coffee machines without doing something wrong and being told your an idiot from customer service….

Good store, car parking is a bit of a pain as it fills up quickly and remains that way most of the time - similar story with bicycle parking, although there is an adequate amount of that. The car park now has several electric vehicle charging points as well.The store itself is clean and staff are always very friendly. The store does get extremely busy, especially around lunch hour, evening rush hour & at weekends and during holidays (e.g. Christmas, Easter, bank holidays). The store is well laid out and there's plenty of room to move even when it is busy. There is a fish counter, a meat counter, a deli and cheese counter, a sushi bar, a bakery (with a Gail's food stand) and freshly made bread, and a cafe (which again can get quite busy). The toilets are at the front of the store, right at the end near the cafe. The welcome desk is just as you enter the store and it's always manned by lovely people should you need assistance - this is also where the free coffee/tea machines are, however do note that you now require a Waitrose card to scan at the coffee machine for your drink. In the foyer bit there are always plenty of lovely flowers and plants - the plant display often extends to outside during the summer months. The foyer is also where poppy sellers and such are stationed during collection periods. There's also usually a seasonal aisle - opposite the cafe - where Christmas, Halloween and Easter etc items are stocked.All in all when it's not too busy the store is a pleasant experience and the cafe is a nice place to sit and take a breather even if you're not shopping there - but it's quite pricey in store these days, and the offers really aren't that great. I'd still recommend it though.

The store was clean, tidy and well presented. The staff in the store that I spoke to were very polite and friendly.

The shopping experience at Waitrose is lifting up your day. The partners are ever so helpful and will go the extra mile to satisfy the customer.

Club sandwich wonderful, coffee even better. But the company should be ashamed of the gents toilet. A complete disgrace. And don't claim it was due cleaning. It's been neglected for years. Even big areas of floor tiles missing. 5 stars for restaurant. 0 for toilet.

I was very impressed with the wide range of items on sale in the shop! I love shopping here!

Please remove the dirty tissues from under the table base in the restaurant 1st table on right. I know it's to stop table rocking but resolve it in a professional method underneath and out of sight. It will take your attention away from the dirty table base.

Called in for late breakfast. Excellent service and food. Coffee good too. Will certainly use again if I'm working in the area.

Excellent store, vast range of products, usually with price choices and brands. Staff efficient, most know where things are,as depth of store makes it difficult to view three sections! Impossible to provide simple paper guide of the where is what" guide or map??? Certainly would reduce long

I asked once if a sandwich had mayo in and they said no. Low and behold I bite into it and there is mayo. What if I had been allergic. Learn to properly label your food. And a second visit left my mother very frustrated as even though she was the one buying wine for my dad’s birthday the cashier was not allowing my mum to pay for it simply because of that fact that I was there. I’m not sure what made her believe that my mother would give my alcohol underage but she made it sound as though my mother was an irresponsible parent which, of course she wasn’t very happy about. What if you were there shopping with a 3 year old? Would you ask for the ID then? No, because obviously you aren’t giving alcohol to an underage child. It also felt quite directed at me as I wear goth fashion so it felt like she was stereotyping me as a delinquent and I felt very personally offended. Horrible shopping experience.
