Holiday Inn Reading - West, an IHG Hotel

All the staff were helpful and friendly. The bar and reception area were fresh, tidy and nice. Room was looking a little tired and could do with some touch ups. The mattress had a stain on the side after pulling the duvet out. Great location and surprisingly quiet given it’s between a main road and railway line.

As s result of unfortunate personal circumstances I have become a long-term resident of The Holiday Inn at Padworth and am more than happy to call it my 'home-from-home'. The staff are most welcoming and always have the time of day for me, nothing is too much trouble, my room is most acceptable and comfortable, the housekeeping staff are so attentive and the breakfast choice is superb. I feel most fortunate to have come across such an accommodating establishment. In particular I would like to mention Richard, Joe, Nissrine, Angie, Lisa, Sam, Daniel and Victor, who have all gone out of their way to make me feel most welcome.

We visited back in September for my wife's 40th Birthday. Special occasion made extra special by the employees. The room we stayed in was a suite and was marvelous. Very good value for money. The staff were amazing. Lisa in particular was very nice and nothing was too much trouble. Joe, Editable and Clara were all very friendly and helpful too. The people make the place.

The evening staff were extremely kind and helpful. They were the best help one could find at a hotel, this is coming from a person who has travelled a lot. The food service was extremely quick and the food was marvellous. A special mention to Nessie (the receptionist) and John (the bartender and waiter). They are the reason I had a wonderful stay even though I was only here 2 nights. They were extremely enthusiastic with everything they did. They were helping at times they weren't required to, and my family and I are very, very grateful and happy overall. We have had a wonderful stay.The rooms that we stayed in were very well maintained and well kept, they were not just extremely tidy and clean but were comfortable and convenient.We wished to stay in neighbouring rooms although by mistake we booked rooms far apart, Nessie was quick to help and moved us into more suitable rooms.We have had a marvellous stay. A repeat visit. Hotel is looking much better internally with the refurbishment. Staff here are extremely friendly. Feels much more personal than other hotels I’ve stayed at. Some items have been missing from the menu all week which has been a little bit disappointing as they are the healthier options but the food has been good this week. Bed is super comfy and have been allocated the same room for my 5 night stay next week! Thank you!

My gosh the staff are lovely. I had trouble checking in because the third-party hadn't passed on my booking details. I asked if I could leave my bag with them so I could get to a wedding. On my return they had sorted my booking and provided me a voucher for a free breakfast! It wasn't their fault for the confusion which goes to show how much they care.My only complaint was when I went to get said breakfast at 9:20 I was met with some apprehension because they would be closing shortly. Shortly was at 10:00 which I feel was a bit disingenuous.

Another Excellent stay at a wonderful hotel. Incredibly welcoming throughout. Staff are fantastic, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The lounge area is warm and inviting and breakfast was an amazing selection. A particular mention to Nissrine and Joe who were fantastic!

Hands down one of the finest welcomes I have ever had to a hotel. The manager, Nissrine, along side her colleagues Sam and Joe were nothing short of amazing!They made my stay an absolute pleasure and I cannot fault their attention to detail.After a long day, they were the perfect hosts.

I stayed two nights with my family. All Staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms and hotel are clean and well-maintained. We always prefer to stay at IHG Hotels on our trips. I can say that this is the most friendly and helpful staff ever. Especially thanks to Nissrine and Ellie. I also thank the breakfast team. We are very happy to stay here. We would like to be here again.
