A Little Place - Fairlawn House

We were visiting Stonehenge and stayed here before moving onto Devon. Our room was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was of a good quality.

Stayed here many times over the years was lovely service and best breakfast. Now new owners service terrible, main heater in bedroom not working in minus temperatures and did not offer to move us to another room and nothing was done about it. Self service breakfast toast and yogurt fruit, while staff chatting and helping themselves to coffee. Will never book here again.

Enjoyed our stay. Rooms quite small and outdated so good for just a short stay. Service impecable, staff very friendly and welcoming

My 2nd stay for summer solstice at stongehenge! Ideal place to stay and a 4 mile walk through the amazing countryside to the historic Stonehenge (1 hour 15min walk)stayed in the garden annex and clean comfortable beds! peaceful and the breakfast is superb!See you next year

I'll just start by saying that I've traveled the world and I've never encountered service this bad. DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. I arrived close to midnight at Grateley train station and quickly realized transportation was limited. My phone was about to die and I was having trouble connecting to any taxi companies, so I called the hotel. The employee that answered was extremely annoyed that I was calling so late and told me he was sleeping. I explained that I was a guest at the hotel and asked if he could call a taxi for me, as I was having trouble connecting calls. He just said, Mate

The location was great, the breakfast was superb, in fact it some of the best black pudding I've ever tasted. The rooms were beautiful, big and clean. I was so happy to see a bath in a big open bright bathroom. The lady who looked after me was so welcoming and generous, I can't wait to visit this beautiful town again and stay in this same place. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality.

We visited Stonehenge and made it into an overnight stay as we had a long journey. My sister and brother in law had a small double, which was in the main building, and we had a triple room as our daughter was with us. We were in a garden room, a large double bed and what we expected to be a single bed but was a chair bed. The location in the town centre was really convenient. The parking, as we were there over a weekend was great and free. The hotel was lovely and had character, the staff super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was served in a really quaint basement room and was amazing. The only thing was the mattresses on the beds were not comfortable, when I looked at reviews several said how comfortable they were so either we were all very unlucky or... we would stay here again if there were better mattresses.

This is a lovely place to stay! The room was well-appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was served in a restaurant-like setting and was delicious and filling. You will enjoy your stay here!

Right in the heart of town, this lovely stay manages to feel quiet and cozy while also near everything anyone would want to see. The hosts were delightful and as everyone else notes here the breakfast is one of the best all time. Couldn't have been happier and frankly would have liked to stay longer

Booking system is a shambles. I booked to stay here for a friends wedding and they double booked my room and gave it to someone else before I arrived. Not sure if it was a system error or a clerical error but it doesn’t really matter at this stage as there were no other rooms available.I was told that I MAY be able to join the rest of my friends for breakfast the following day for a small fee. I think the least that could have been offered was a free breakfast for messing up my booking. Decided not to bother, I didn’t really want to give them any money as I was already totally screwed by the booking being messed up.I spoke to the rest of my friends who had booked in other rooms and nobody received an email confirmation when they booked via the phone. It’s no wonder that you double booked the place - please check your processes and think about what you can do to mitigate this, it’s not really good enough to run a business like this.
