Full disclosure; although I have named Tamara Barbeary, I never actually got round to speaking with her once... I was in contact with Lennons Solicitors back and forth for 3 weeks regarding a redundancy. All I was required to do was engage a solicitor to deal with my employer. Just give my firm the name of my solicitor that's all. I was told by Lennons (Navika Khanna) this was not allowed until they had received all the documentation they needed which unfortunately took longer than expected as I had to get the BBC to dig up an original contract AND I was on holiday and uncontactable for 7 days in between. Because of these difficulties, I persuaded my employer to move my ''final decision'' deadline from 14th August to 25th August. I finally received my original BBC contract from BBC HR this morning and forwarded it on to Navika immediately, having been assured this was the final document they needed to proceed, only then to receive a phone call telling me that Tamara was off on leave on Friday (my deadline) and wouldn't have time to deal with my case after all. Although Navika very sportingly recommended IBB solicitors (who have far more employment lawyers apparently). I'm quite sure Tamara knew her holiday dates before this morning wouldn't it have been common courtesy to forewarn me that this might not get done. I now have 2 days to engage another employment lawyer and to get everything sorted. Outstanding work Lennons! I will now be bad mouthing you not just to people who are looking for solicitors, but to everyone I meet.
