As a Birmingham city centre gallery dealing in fine art paintings and Master Graphics, we have been using Gale & Co. throughout our years in business. They did all of the framing for a 2011 exhibition in Cork Street for artist Reuben Colley. They have also completed framing for various commissions we have undertaken for big corporate clients such as the John Lewis Partnership, five large paintings by Reuben Colley, framed in beautiful white gold leafed frames, hang permanently in the John Lewis Birmingham flagship store. Gale & Co. have consistently created bespoke frames that perfectly suit the paintings and graphics to the highest standard. We would happily recommend Gale & Co. to any of our clients.

Their knowledge of styles and understanding of colour and shape to best fit a picture is exceptional. And the quality of their craftmanship is very rare to find these days, whether you’re having an 18th Century frame restored, or having a new frame made up. Posters, oils, old and new they frame everything beautifully.

WOW, thats the only way to describe Gale&Co. From our first conversation to taking receipt of the repaired Gold Disc, their attention to the customer and the item, went beyond the realms of expectation. Nothing was too much trouble to satisfy the customer, even down to procuring materials required to bring the item back to its former glory. The treasured possession that they renovated was 1978 gold disc vinyl LP, Heroes by David Bowie. In conversation afterwards, this was their first attempt with such an item, but boy did they make it stand out. The staff at Gale&Co make you feel like you have known them all your life, with how personable they are. I have had several pictures (of all types and sizes) framed by Gale and Co. I always have excellent and friendly service and their skills, care and eye for framing are outstanding. Having been a watercolour artist for many years, and had many different experiences with framing companies, I have to say that Gale & Co are on a whole other level. I honestly cannot recommend this company highly enough. My journey with them started approximately four years ago, when I first made enquiries about getting the autographs framed. Between then and now they actually moved to a new property, but kept everything safe for me, and I finally followed up on my initial enquiry. After paying for the work they had done already (which went unpaid for 3+ years, so my apologies) and approximately half of the total amount, they completed the work, I paid the balance and popped into the studio.When I arrived the picture was safely wrapped up, but it was then opened for me to see and I was genuinely blown away.One chap, whose name I didn't get, asked me if I know of or watch The Repair Shop"

Really happy with the frame I got from Gale and Co. They provide a service that is second to none with all the care and consideration you’d expect from a family run business. The price was excellent for the quality and finish.They helped me chose the mount board colour based on the colours in the portrait and finished it with a thin black border for the contemporary look I needed.I would recommend Gale and Co to anyone in Birmingham looking to frame anything that needs to hang in their home. Just need to get my other dog framed to complete my wall.

We took an oil painting to Gale & Co which had been badly varnished previously. Although it took a while, an excellent job was done to remove the old varnish and for a more suitable finish to be applied. We are very pleased with the result. Then we asked for a more modern frame to be suggested and their choice was an excellent one. The picture is now hanging in pride of place! We would like to thank all of the craftsmen involved with our picture and we would highly recommend Gale & Co for any picture restoration and framing.
