There Guarantee is not worth the paper it’s written on. They want £200 to come and inspect their own work and and if they decide that the problem is not caused by their poor workmanship then you loss that money.

Work not up to standard.We had a damp course re-injected into the walls when we moved in at the beginning of last year.As the plaster has to be removed to half height, they re-plastered up to this level. This was completed to a very poor standard, with a rough join between the existing upper plaster and the new lower.It took me a very long time to complain in all honesty, but when I did this was dismissed out of hand as just the usual cracks in settling plaster (drying out). Having had the rest of our house plastered since, this is nonsense and it was just a poor quality job.Areas that supposedly had the damp course installed have had moisture ingress since the work was done so clearly poor workmanship and the absence of any customer service. Plenty of other companies about, ignore this one.

After receiving a huge estimate for Rising Damp remediation from another firm (Pass & Co), I was a bit cynical about it. Rudders and Paynes came out yesterday and completely dismissed the previous report, explaining why Rising Damp was not only unlikely, but physically impossible; rising damp won't give mould because it draws up salt, whereas mould needs purified water.Not only did they not charge for their time, but Philip was polite, considerate and non-patronising. Even though we didn't actually have any work done, I feel that his genuine sincerity and professionalism is worth praising.As a side note, Pass & Co are obviously complete cowboys; their infamous reputation is completely deserved and warranted.

Shocking, cost a fortune for what... Stay away people. Rip you off blind... Work not up to standard. Stay away

We have used Rudders and Paynes for years. Always professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable. A fantastic business and Phil and his staff have always been excellent.

Expert company who quite for the works required, with out trying to sell unnecessary extras.Work was very neat, very tidy and was completed on time.Very good all round.
