Ashtons Mexwell funeral directors Kennington branch have been amazing in organising my mother's funeral. From the time she was collected after she died at home to the time we got her ashes back after the cremation, they have shown compassion to us all the way through this process, we can't thank Joan and her team enough, helping us with all the arrangements and their advice as its the first time I have ever organised a funeral. They done everything we asked of them and I can't thank them enough as it was hard to organise after losing such a special person to our family but they made the process so much more bearable for us even down to speaking to the vicar that did the service for us. Everyone has been so kind and I can't recommend them enough. If you needhelp organising a funeral I highly reccomend Ashtons in Kennington.

Wonderful caring staff who took great care in guiding me through a processwhich is painful and difficult-their support and understanding helped meenormously-Joan and Stephanie were both little gems who ensured that everything was taken care of and run smoothly-thank you both.

The help I received from the staff was very genuine and sincere in a very difficult time in the loss of my mother. They ensured that I was given all the required information that my dear mother was taken care of with the utmost respect. I would recommend their services to anyone.

I personally would not recommend this Funeral service. A death is never easy to overcome, grievance is continuance. Given the nature of this service, effective communication is essential. Whenever I email Mary, it will take her 1 week or more to respond to my emails. This is very worrying as my money is in the care of Mary and Ashton Funeral Directors. I do not feel as though I have received a kind or sympathetic service.Furthermore, I emailed Mary last week sometime, I have not received a response - I am sure this review may prompt her to respond. This is poor and upsetting. Very upsetting - I hope no one will have to experience this, especially in their time of vulnerability and need.

The Funeral Director Elaine Steptoe is fantastic. In my humble opinion she is without doubt the most professional FD I have ever dealt with and caring buy also strong enough to conduct and direct proceedings as are needed.Thanks to Elaine and the team!

We used Ashton's funeral services for my brother's Daniel cremation.My sister's and I went to their Kennington branch to make arrangements.We met Joan Cousins who talked us through the process .Joan arranged the crematorium, flowers, minister and cars.On day of Dan's cremation the car's arrived on time with all the flowers.The conductor and his staff were friendly and on arrival allowed Dan'snephews to carry in his coffin.The service went as well as could be expected.We was also given time to take some of the flowers to place on mum and dad's grave.On behalf of all of Daniel family we thank all of you.Yours Truly John Daley.

I just wanted to say thank you for all that you did with my nan. You helped my uncle arrange the funeral and I know he appreciated that.We came to see her, Joan you was so warm and caring. The order of service booklets were wonderful and thank you for making my last memory of seeing my nan a fond one filled with love.
