I ordered a custom-made body to a bespoke design. These guys couldn't be more helpful and double checked the details to confirm that was what I wanted. The body arrived beautifully smooth ready to paint. TBH the wood used is so lovely that we have decided to not to paint it but to instead finish it in a clear coat to show off the grain.Thanks!

Just remembered this horrible experience with them last year.Ordered an unfinished body, they packed it like it was the first day on the job. Flimsy thin box across the ocean, bubble wrap inside out, none on the sides, no filler to prevent the object shifting around. You know, the basic rules of shipping products.The body arrives with a dent on the edge. It takes them a good 3 months to get the money back from shipping company, and get this: an extra month for them to refund my money after they emailed me right we have your money we'll try to organise a refund". Fantastic. Ordered a custom strat body, they were very helpful via email in making sure they knew exactly what I wanted. Price was great compared to other companies I'd spoken to, and the body arrived exactly as I'd ordered. Will use again in future.

Ordered a Maryland Ted 594 body and neck with just about every custom option I could. The best part was picking the maple top. The product this company puts out is top notch. It was worth the wait for a killer neck and under the great finish the wood quality on the body was excellent too. Well pleased!

I ordered a bespoke Stratocaster body from Guitar & Bass Build in January 2021, delivered in February. I needed a two piece body made from light weight Swamp Ash. I also wanted a good looking natural grain suitable for a natural wax finish. I was able to view the wood in advance by emailed photos and the completed final body is superb, very good communication throughout. I highly recommend Guitar & Bass Build.

Wood quality is quite good but there are a few issues.Stratocaster bodies are not built to exact vintage Fender specs.A few problems are: Neck pocket too shallow and wide, the 6 vintage bridge screws not perfectly aligned and spaced. The forearm contour is not as round and the belly contour not as deep.I think guitarbuild does a much better job if you are looking for a vintage style strat body.In response to the owner:Please check with James, your sales person, and get the facts right.I never enquired about another body, he offered a discount on a new one (which I decided not to get) after I sent him pictures of the flows on the body I got from you guys.And no, I do not work for GuitarBuild.

I ordered a guitar neck from this company that arrived damaged, apparently caused during delivery. After providing photos of the damage/packaging to the company so that they could claim for the damage from their courier (at their request), I asked to be refunded. Guitar and Bass Build UK refused to cover the cost of returning the damaged item to them. I pointed out that this was contrary to my consumer rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015) but this fell on deaf ears. What's more, I had to repeatedly chase the company for a refund of the original cost of the neck, eventually receiving one 12 days after they received the damaged neck back. The product was disappointing, and the customer service was appalling. I will avoid in future.

A professional, helpful, friendly and fast service from start to finish.I have the guitar that I’ve been searching for such a long time and it’s actually better that I dreamed it would be.Received it 3 weeks early, very well packaged. Custom shop quality at very affordable prices and better than any fender custom shops I’ve had that cost almost 5 times as much.
