The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust

Located in a remote area just outside Carmarthen Town centre. It was just a standard operational office used to take 999 calls around South West Wales area with the Dyfed Police Headquarters next to it. I attended an interview as an ERM 999 call handler. The interview was split in two parts. The first part was behavioural questions. They asked about my personal motivations in applying for the role and working for the organisation, and what valuable experiences I'd bring to do a good job. The second part was about functional skills; such as my ability to input data; listen and interpret information correctly; and analysing data in an accurate and timely manner. I only dealt with 3 female staff, so I would assume that the centre is mostly made up of female staff. Outcome: unsuccessful.
