Goyt Valley Medical & Dental Practice

Had a check-up with Nick last week.A very thorough examination was performed with radiographs. I need two fillings and I was impressed by how Nick gave me options and fully explained everything to me. I was shown the X-ray images on the computer screen and the cavities were pointed out to me- I found this really useful. I’ve had many check ups at a number of Dental Practices but no Dentist has been as thorough in the examination and as helpful in explaining things to me.

The dental practice is really poor, avoid at all costs. The GP surgery on the other hand is excellent.

As a continuous cruiser we took a chance to register with the surgery as I have been quite unwell Once Flow Test for Covid done and out of the way, was able to see Dr Grue. Awesome caring doctorBarrage of blood test, results, meds all done in a few daysHugely impressed and most gratefulThank you

Map and Google image are confusing, Royal mail seem to have Chapel Street as address but Main access is on Tom Brands Croft, or Via Bridge Street and it's not Physically on Chapel Street (or shown in Picture) attached view from Streetview

You can spend all day trying to get through to the dentist and only get to voicemail, and then half the time they don't even call back. Surely they should set up a hold system?They've cancelled multiple appointments for me and my family only quoting 'unforeseen circumstances', or rescheduling our appointments another 3 months ahead because a member of staff was absent for a day. Really shocking service. We've had to turn to a private dentist for emergency work which is so disappointing given the current economic climate.On the other hand, we have found Dr. Wood at the medical centre to be thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable. He always seems to have time for his patients and is a credit to the practice.

They are okay at Dentistry but, they treat people poorly:- I drove my Aunt-in-Law to the Dentist's and she turned up 5 mins early, my 'disabled' Aunt-in-Law was told that she had to leave the practice and to come back in 5 mins (to go up & down the stairs more and to wait outside 'in the rain' for 5 mins).

I travelled from Swansea to Chinley and discovered I’d left my medication at home. The medical practice were efficient in getting a temporary patient arrangement in place and I managed to avoid going without essential medication - receptionist - ‘Tracy’ was really nice
