Halfords - Guiseley

I booked in and paid for a bike service at the Guiseley branch of Halfords. Took my bike in to be told that what I thought would be a service would be an initial inspection, the service would follow on from this. The member of staff explained that the Halfords website might be somewhat misleading. Once inspected the bike might then take a few weeks to be serviced. This wouldn’t suit my plans so I asked for a refund, this was provided without quibble. Before leaving I asked the member of staff for some advice on a chain I’d purchased from a different branch of Halfords and had fitted myself.As the bike was there with me he suggested he take a quick look. He noticed I’d not fitted the chain correctly and then went about fitting it and ensuring that it worked through all the gears. When I asked for the cost he told me it was a gesture of good will.Would I have written a poor review for the service being sold through their website, probably not, but the customer service I received was amazing and as such felt inclined to write a positive review. I wish I’d got his name but I’m sure that the powers that be will be able to work that out and pass on my thanks for his attitude and ability to go above and beyond. Would I come back to get my bike serviced there, definetly. Would I expect that it may take time, yes, next time I’ll factor that in, maybe the website could make that a little more clear.This guy was a credit to the Company!

The 5 stars are for the Guiseley branch!! Outstanding. I ordered 2 new bulbs and paid extra to have them fit at the Harrogate store. I arrived and they showed me to a drive in garage and the guy changed both bulbs. I drop away (daytime) thankful that my lights were working. I drive down country roads for almost all my journey to and from work. I noticed quite quickly that the left bulb was not working properly. I was struggling to see anything. I called the customer service number who told me to go to my nearest store with my receipt and they would fix it. The two you men working there this evening were amazing!! Not only had the original guy put the bulb in wrong, not clipped the bulb setting back in correctly he had also left the discarded bulbs under my bonnet!! The Guiseley staff are and were amazing! A credit to the company! Harrogate may need some more training!

Went here for a bulb for my headlight. The man who I asked for advice, think he was called Jack was so rude and made me feel like I shouldn’t be asking him! Won’t be returning here. Only got one star as it won’t let me do 0

Amazing. Called in to Guisley for a bulb and oil. I didn’t know which bulb it was as an alert flashed up on dashboard. The guy serving me had it all sorted in 5 mins and I was on my way. Can’t fault the service at all.

Exceptional service, polite and courteous staff and a brilliantly laid out well stocked store. A credit to the Halfords group.

Booked a bike service for a specified time online, after been in store a few days earlier and told to do so. When I turned up to drop it off I was told that it would be a couple of days because they had '27 bikes to do and just received a big delivery'Then when I said it didn't mater and cancel the service, as i had planned to be in the area just for the service i didnt want to have to back another day. I was just given my bike back and I had to initiate a refund.Don't offer specific time slots if you can't actually keep them

Came here to grab a new bulb and get it fitted. The two guys, Luke and Ollie were super helpful and very efficient. They had the bulb fitted in no time. A great service and hassle free. Will definitely come back again!

Can’t fault this place ! I had no difficulty getting into the store as both doors opened inwards automatically . Beware coming back out . Not the largest of stores but it did have a first floor “mezzanine “ which was covered in bicycles and bits for them . There is a set of stairs going up and also a customer lift which carries wheelchair/pushchair .Max weight 400kg .I braved it today and went up to the bike area. I only just fitted into the lift ! When I got to the top I had to open the door and turn 90 degrees to get out and return !!!!It’s fairly easy to find your way around but a member of staff dealt with my request put my goods through the till , then even offered to carry them to the car!Can’t fault the service . Talking of which ther is a covered (tent)fitting bay outside if any customers require bulbs , lights, wipers, radio and the like fitted . There is usually an extra charge for thisNo WC or restroom
